Software Test Engineer (m/f/d)

We’re looking for a Software Test Engineer (m/f/d) to join our team at Dentsply Sirona. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the end-to-end software verification and 3rd party integration test process: from the analysis of new software requirements, defining test strategy, plan and execute software verification (manual and automated) till the update of the SureSmile medical device documentation in close collaboration w/ developments, training, customer care, DL techs and regulatory teams. 

This is a hybrid position which requires working in the Berlin office at least one day per week.

Software Test Engineer (m/f/d) 

Key responsibilities:

• Analyze and translate (business) requirements into specifications, test scenarios and test cases.
• Develop a test strategy to adequately cover the requirement and document test results and traceability.

• Design SPEC and TC in Matrix Req. (test management tool)
• You’ll work with technologies such as Jira, SalesForce, Postman API, Postgres PgAdmin, Github, AWS_Console and BitBar.
• Perform monitoring and reporting (splunk, datadog, AWS_Cloudwatch)
• Performing 3rd Party Integration tests (manual), DS Core Integration tests (manual) and SQL queries in test database
• Designing and executing automated test in Java/Selenium
• Provide analysis and assist with troubleshooting of operational issues and/or (inhouse) customer needs.
• Identify defects, create, track bugs and test defect fixes.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Education:

Scientific or engineering education (Master, Diploma or PhD) in software development, computer science, information technology or relevant industry experience.

Key Skills, Knowledge & Capabilities: 

• Experience in testing activities, including automated testing of our SW products
• Experience with test management tools and processes (e.g. Matrix Req. X-Rays) .
• Experience with bug/issues tracking tools (e.g. Jira) .
• Experience in writing software tests, good understanding of software testing concepts (for example: TDD, BDD, testing pyramid)
• Nice to have: experience with the Java/Selenium and Postman API automated testing framework or other test frameworks is an advantage
• Nice to have: Experience in SQL/database and scripting.
