Job Title: Advanced Quality Assurance Engineer 

Job Summary: 

As an Advanced Quality Assurance Engineer, should play a critical role in ensuring the quality, stability, and compliance of Light & Wonder’s gaming platforms. Should be responsible for testing, analyzing defects, drive quality initiatives, mentor junior QA engineers and improving processes to enhance the gaming experience. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with industry-leading professionals. Person should have passion for gaming, a keen eye for detail, and experience in software testing. 

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Platform Software Testing 

  • Perform functional, regression, performance, integration and stress testing on casino gaming software, platforms, and systems. 

  • Identify, document, and track software defects using industry-standard defect management tools (JIRA etc…). 

  • Ensure testing aligns with jurisdictional compliance requirements. 

  • Validate user experience, consistency, and game mechanics to enhance player satisfaction. 

  • Conduct in-depth risk assessments and root cause analysis for high-impact issues. 

2. Compliance & Regulatory Testing 

  • Work closely with compliance teams to ensure products meet jurisdictional requirements. 

  • Assist in internal compliance verification before external regulatory submission. 

  • Support compliance-related test case creation and execution. 

3. Test Planning & Documentation 

  • Develop test cases, test scripts, and test plans based on game requirements and functional specifications. 

  • Maintain detailed documentation for test execution, defects, and compliance reports. 

  • Utilize test management tools to track test execution, results, and defect status. 

4. Test Automation 

  • Design, develop, and enhance automation frameworks using industrystandard tools (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, REST Assured, etc.).  

  • Build scalable, reusable automation suites for functional and regression testing.  

  • Maintain and refactor existing automation scripts to improve efficiency and reliability. 

  • Expertise in any scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, or C#). 

5. Collaboration & Cross-functional Communication 

  • Work closely with developers, product managers, and QA leads to ensure efficient defect resolution. 

  • Participate in scrum meetings, sprint reviews, Bug triages and test planning discussions. 

  • Provide clear and concise reporting on testing progress and defect trends. 

  • Mentor and train junior team members to enhance skill development and ensure knowledge sharing across the team 

  • Support and contribute to the definition and improvement of QA processes to ensure consistency and efficiency. 

  • Report project status and escalate risks to project management in a timely and structured manner 

  • Independently develop and execute test plans and test strategies aligned with project requirements and timelines. 

Education:   

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/ Electronic & communication. Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience. 

Experience: 
7+ years of experience in software testing, preferably in casino gaming, slot machines, or interactive gaming platforms. 

Technical Knowledge & Skills: 

  • Proficiency in software quality testing, including functional, regression, and performance testing. 

  • Hands-on experience with test management tools such as qTest for organizing, executing, and tracking test cases 

  • Proficient in defect tracking and management using JIRA or equivalent tools 

  • Basic scripting knowledge preferred for test automation support. 

  • Familiarity with API testing. 

  • Understanding of gaming protocols (SAS, G2S, QCOM, ASP etc..) is a plus. 

  • Experience with Windows and Linux environments. 

  • Experience with prompt engineering is a plus 

Soft Skills: 

  • Excellent problem-solving skills to identify and address complex software defects. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and collaboration. 

  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven enviroinment.
