Aerodynamics Attribute & Test Leader β Thermal & Aerodynamics Systems Engineering (TASE)
Gaydon / Wellesbourne | Global travel across UK & Europe
This is a role at the heart of how our vehicles perform, sound and feel on the road.
Weβre looking for an Aerodynamics Attribute & Test Leader to take ownership of how key aerodynamic attributes come to life across our programmes, from early virtual development through to physical testing and final engineering sign-off. Itβs a role that blends technical depth with real-world delivery, giving you the opportunity to see your work shape the performance of every vehicle it touches.
Youβll lead the planning and execution of aerodynamic, aeroacoustic and water/dirt management testing at every level, from component and system through to full vehicle. That means defining how we test, where we test, and making sure everything is in place to deliver meaningful, accurate results. Youβll be hands-on with vehicle builds, test readiness, and execution on proving grounds, while also stepping back to own the wider attribute performance on derivative programmes.
Working closely with teams across CFD, Vehicle Engineering, Design and commodity areas, youβll set targets, track progress and represent aerodynamics within programme discussions. Youβll also play a key role in pushing how we test and measure performance, developing data acquisition methods, refining procedures, and contributing to the evolution of our capabilities.
This role isnβt just about running tests , itβs about taking ownership. From signing off test vehicle readiness, to publishing reports that support final engineering approval, to leading competitor benchmarking activity, youβll be trusted to drive outcomes and influence decisions.
Youβll be based across our Gaydon and Wellesbourne site, with regular travel across the UK and Europe to support testing activity, often at short notice, so this is a role for someone who enjoys being close to the action.
Weβre looking for someone who has experience in vehicle aerodynamics, whether in automotive, motorsport or a similar high-performance environment, and who understands how to translate attribute targets into real-world delivery. Youβll be comfortable working across physical testing, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration, with a track record of solving technical problems and seeing work through to completion.
If youβve had exposure to areas like aeroacoustics, water and dirt management, or attribute leadership, thatβs a real advantage, Β but just as important is your ability to take ownership, influence across teams, and bring clarity to complex challenges.
This is an opportunity to play a visible role in shaping how our vehicles perform and are experienced, working at the intersection of engineering, testing and delivery.
If youβre ready to take ownership of aerodynamic performance and see your work brought to life on the road, weβd love to hear from you.
