Alpha CRIMS/ADP upgrade Test Manager - VP

Why it’s important

State Street is seeking a skilled and proven Test Manager to lead Alpha Business Platform Upgrade projects in China. Every a few years, each Alpha client would have CRIMS, the front office application, and ADP, the data platform, to upgrade for security, compliance and new functions. It’s crucial to validate the upgrade and ensure no-interruption of daily BAU after the upgrade.

As a Test Manager, you will / should

• Plan, lead & execute End-to-End business testing on CRIMS/ADP version upgrade of Alpha clients, including business analysis, test solutioning, test strategy definition and execution, and project management to drive the upgrade process.
• Understand front to back solution of Alpha to enable correct and effective test execution.
• Build Test Strategy/Approach and Test Cases by understanding the client service model and requirements.
• Lead & drive discussion both internal & external stakeholders in discussions such as for defect triage & test status reporting & update.
• Collaborate with both local and global functional teams for understanding requirements, demonstrating defects, and drive solutioning for defect fixing.
• Partnering with a global testing team to share testing best practice and standards, especially on platform/application/system upgrade.
• Team management and build a high performance team with both business knowledge and test discipline.
• Resource planning and management by wholistic view of multiple upgrade projects of Alpha clients.

The ideal candidate:

• 10-12 years overall experience with 8-10 years of relevant functional testing and capital market background; OR 10+ years of experience in Financial Services Industry
• Bachelor and above degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, Information System Management, or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of financial services and solid understanding of Investment lifecycle including but not limited to:
  • Front office trading
  • Middle Office Transaction Management
  • Middle Office IBOR Record Keeping
  • Data Management Service for different types of data such as ABOR, IBOR, Performance Data, etc.
  • Report or Data Delivery to the client
• Be familiar with typical/standard applications in State Street, including but not limited to:
  • CRIMS
  • TIER/DEH
  • GTM
  • RKS
  • DHUB
  • GCAS
  • MCH/FDR
  • SSCD
  • ADP
• Experiences in using and testing CRIMS
• Experiences in Data Warehouse test
• Proved record of leading & driving testing projects, especially system upgrade with multiple applications inclusive.
• Test automation and regression experiences
• Client facing experiences regarding test topics
• Be proficient in English in both written & verbal communication
• Strong and effective communication skills, ability to locate the right resource to resolve the issue
• Possess good problem solving skills and take result-oriented work approach
• A can-do mindset to lead the team and drive for results
• Self-directed to drive tasks through to completion
• Strong time management and organizational skills; Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
