We are looking for an Associate Technical Pen test Manager to join our cybersecurity team. This role focuses on managing penetration testing engagements end-to-end, ensuring smooth client communication, proper scoping, efficient resource allocation, and timely delivery. The candidate should have a good foundation in penetration testing, networking, and cybersecurity while being able to coordinate multiple stakeholders and drive operational excellence.
This position is ideal for someone transitioning from hands-on pen testing into technical project management and client leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Talk to clients to understand what needs to be tested and confirm the scope of work.Β
Estimate the time, effort, and resources needed for each project.Β
Assign the right pen testers to the right projects.Β
Keep clear records of activities, timelines, and project progress.Β
Make sure projects are delivered on time and with good quality.Β
Be the main point of contact for clients during the engagement.Β
Stay in touch with clients, handle their requests, and keep them updated.Β
Share regular progress reports with both clients and internal teams.Β
Track the performance of pen testers and maintain their KPIs.Β
Guide and support junior team members to improve their skills.Β
Review reports and findings to make sure they are accurate and useful for the client.Β
Help improve internal processes, templates, and workflows.
Requirements
0-2 years of experience in penetration testing, technical project management, or security consulting.
Willingness and interest in moving towards the management side of cybersecurity.
Familiarity with pentesting methodologies (OWASP, PTES, NIST).
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders
Client-facing experience in handling scope discussions, requirement gathering, and delivery alignment.
Preferred Skills:
Hands-on pentesting background with exposure to web, API, or infrastructure testing.
Familiarity with project management tools (Jira, Trello, or similar).
Certifications like OSCP, CEH, eJPT, Security+ (good to have).Β
Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
