Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Mid-Level Automation Tester with strong experience in Java, Selenium, and Cucumber (BDD framework) for a banking domain project. The candidate should have a good understanding of banking applications, transaction flows, and data sensitivity, along with a solid foundation in test automation and API testing. A willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment is essential.
 

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

. Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java, Selenium, and Cucumber (BDD).
. Understand and validate banking workflows such as payments, transfers, account management, and transaction processing.
. Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and QA teams to interpret banking requirements and translate them into test scenarios.
. Perform API testing and basic API automation for banking services.
. Validate data integrity across systems, including database validation.
. Ensure compliance with security and data privacy standards in testing.
. Identify, log, and track defects with detailed analysis.
. Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives in an Agile environment.
. Contribute to framework improvements and automation best practices.

 

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Must to have:
. 3–5 years of experience in software testing with a focus on automation.
. Strong hands-on experience in: Java programming Selenium WebDriver Cucumber (BDD framework)
. Good understanding of: Banking domain concepts (accounts, transactions, payments, etc.) API testing (REST/JSON, tools like Postman) Test automation frameworks
. Experience with SQL for data validation.
. Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git).
. Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines.

 
Good to Have:

. Experience in API automation using Rest Assured or similar tools.
. Knowledge of database automation/testing.
. Experience in mobile automation using Appium (banking apps).
. Understanding of banking regulations, security testing, or data encryption basics.

. Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail (critical for financial systems).
. Good communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams.
