About the Role:

TechBlocks is hiring a skilled Backend QA Engineer with strong experience in database, ETL, and Big Data testing. This role involves validating large datasets, writing complex SQL scripts, and contributing to test automation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in CS/IT or related field.
• 6+ years in QA with a focus on database and ETL testing.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with Big Data technologies.
• Knowledge of Python or any programming language.
• Familiar with Agile, test strategies, defect tracking, and documentation.
• Experience with automation frameworks is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and execute comprehensive test plans, test strategies, and test cases for backend systems and big data implementations
• Perform end-to-end testing of databases, data pipelines, and ETL workflows
• Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate data integrity and transformation
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize database performance in enterprise applications
• Collaborate with developers and data engineers to ensure high-quality deliverables
• Contribute to automation efforts and help maintain automation frameworks
• Identify risks, propose mitigation strategies, and uphold quality standards throughout the SDLC.
