Northrop Grummanβs Defense Systems sector is looking for a Consulting System Test Lead Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, Utah
or this position may be fully remote.

What Youβll Get To Do:Β
The successful applicant will demonstrate technical knowledge and practical experience testing strategic weapons systems from the element to the system level including flight testing. Β Additionally, they will engage in multiple aspects of ICBM design, integration, and test activities to include test and mission objective planning, design and build of support facilities, test instrumentation, digital transformation and modeling, and hardware and software verification and validation. Leadership and communication skills are critical in this role to help drive issues to closure, provide clear insight to leadership and maintain program schedule. Incorporating Agile concepts across multiple fields including software, product development and integration and test is required. Familiarity with ballistic weapons system software development, avionics integration laboratories, flight test, and associated data analysis is a plus.Β
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
IPT Lead program management activities, Sub-IPT program management activities, technical advisement and direction, project engineering, CAM, cost/schedule/EV reporting, as well as ad hoc proposal contributions. Β
STT and Sub-IPT support to STT Sr Director for managing scope of effort (review, feedback into STT and Sub-IPT level of documentation) and ongoing management of tasking. Β
Risk, Issue, and Opportunity Management and STT Risk Opportunity Review Board (ROMB) Lead. Β
Leading the development and execution of the Full Functional Test (FFT) Test Campaign.
Managing test execution across all Segment/IPT Sentinel Test teams.
Leading Test Engineering teams responsible for the System Level test planning and execution. Β
Direct multiple concurrent operations while maintaining stringent test rigor.
Metrics management and communicating complex technical issues and solutions to IPT and program leadership.
CORE leadership members providing USG counterpart(s) collaboration/decision making/technical resolution and communication.
Support to milestone meetings, TIMs, test activities. Β
Engage in scope shaping, test requirements definition, and test milestone event(s).
Overall responsibility for Sub-IPT SOW(s). Β
Tasking also includes IFC Tiger Teams, project engineering, and administrative support.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Youβll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelorβs degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and a minimum of 16 years of experience on aerospace systems OR a Masterβs degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with a minimum of 14 years of experience on aerospace systems.
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
Prior technical leadership experience and demonstrated knowledge of Missile Systems including System Test aspects of Flight & Ground Test, Lab Design & Operational Test, Test Planning, Data & Integration.Β
Familiarity with leading large technical proposals and the ability to lead the customer through reviews of technical performance.
Travel required up to 25% of the time to support program reviews, site evaluations, technical interchanges and various test activities.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Current active in-scope DOD Top Secret Security Clearance reinvestigated within the past 6 years.
Familiarity MBSE (Model-Based Systems Engineering) with CAMEO.
Missile System background in the field of Command & Launch.
Missile System background in the field of Air Vehicle Integration.
Missile System background in the field of Payload Integration.
Previous leadership experience on ICBM programs.
