DOCSIS Test Engineer

Role: DOCSIS Test Engineer

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Responsibilities:

• Test and validate Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) and back-end systems for CPE.

• Provide technical support for all escalated DOCSIS CPE issues, performing validation using Wireless Clients and Wi-Fi networks.

• Act as the first-level escalation point for beta customer issues.

• Perform software and network engineering to develop solutions and conduct testing.

• Responsible for Beta, customer field triage, and troubleshooting.

• Design and test various Internet access devices such as modems, OLTs, eMTAs, routers, gateways, and set-top boxes.

• Create and maintain related documentation, including test plans.

• Participate in daily scrum and weekly bug review meetings.

• Manage certification, configuration, and integration engineering of all DOCSIS CPE.

• Identify hardware and software testing requirements.

• Participate in weekly bug classification and prioritization.

• Establish test network environments as documented in test plans.
