Ecommerce QA Lead

We are looking for an experienced E-commerce QA Lead to own the quality strategy and delivery for our e-commerce platform. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in web, mobile, API, integration, automation, performance, and end-to-end testing, along with excellent knowledge of e-commerce business processes.

The QA Lead will work closely with Product, Engineering, DevOps, Business, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality and reliable releases.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement the overall QA strategy, test plans, and quality processes.
• Lead QA activities across multiple e-commerce modules and releases.
• Review requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical designs.
• Identify functional, integration, and business risks early in the development lifecycle.
• Design and review test scenarios, test cases, test data, and traceability.
• Lead end-to-end testing across:
  • Product catalog
  • Product search
  • Pricing
  • Promotions/coupons
  • Shopping cart
  • Checkout
  • Payments
  • Inventory
  • Order management
  • Shipping
  • Returns and refunds
  • Customer accounts
• Lead API and integration testing for internal and third-party services.
• Establish and maintain UI/API automation frameworks.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Plan and execute regression, smoke, sanity, system, integration, and exploratory testing.
• Coordinate performance and load testing for high-traffic events and promotional campaigns.
• Work with developers to investigate defects and perform root-cause analysis.
• Manage defect lifecycle, prioritization, triage, and closure.
• Define and track QA metrics and release-quality KPIs.
• Lead production validation and support post-release verification.
• Conduct RCA for production defects and implement preventive measures.
• Mentor QA engineers and conduct technical reviews.
• Continuously improve QA processes, tools, automation coverage, and engineering practices.
