Job Description

Danfoss is looking for a Production Support Engineer who has a strong technical background in electrical and process engineering. If you are a Power expert with experience in developing a preventive maintenance program and if you ensure smooth functioning of production processes with timely maintenance, repair, failure analysis and process optimization, you would be the best candidate for this role.
As a Production Support Engineer in electrical testing, you will utilize your skills to secure quality and productivity in the power module production for Danfoss Silicon Power. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of all equipment related to electrical test systems, plus providing the needed production support to secure an efficient and productive operation. With solid understanding of electrical testing equipment, you will be well versed in maintenance process, process optimization and health and safety regulations. Job Responsibilities

  • Generate or improve work instructions and specifications used in production
  • Identify critical and non-critical spares for major equipment in production and keep on control needed backups
  • Lead projects with the aim of improving product quality and production profitability
  • Generation, adaption and optimization of production processes / programs
  • Documentation of production and process results
  • Production Support for sample productions
  • Transfer and introduce products out of the new product development to the series production
  • Optimization of production processes for new products during the ramp-up
  • Perform technical maintenance, calibration and optimization activities and ensure productive running of the electrical test equipment
  • Perform actions out of ACN, NCR, FMEA and RCPS Board
  • Defi ne and optimize test parameters through the employment of good engineering methodology like understanding products and test equipment
  • Continuous improvement of processes within your area of responsibility regarding yield and productivity
  • Close cooperation with the German based electrical test R&D, quality department and project development

Background & Skills

  • Master/Bachelor (university) degree in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering, or relevant education –preferably with focus on power electronics and information engineering
  • Several years’ experience as an electrical test engineer or in the field of Process or Equipment engineering, in ahigh technology/ high volume manufacturing, preferred semiconductor environment
  • Measurement, Test equipment and Machine Automation industry experience preferred
  • Ability to provide good quality results under pressure and in a timely manner
  • Good analytical and structured problem solving, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Hands on experience on engineering methods such as FMEA, SPC, Pareto Analysis, Control Charts and 8Dmethodology is a plus
  • Team worker with good communication skills to motivate improvements and drive the Change
  • Good knowledge of electrical and mechanical measurement methods and instruments, power electronics and circuit technology
  • Database setup and maintenance with good knowledge in SQL programming
  • Experience in Statistica, LabView and Visual Basic programming is preferred
  • Sufficient knowledge of data protocols and database structures used in industrial production equipment
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently
  • Good analytical and problem solving, interpersonal, and communication skills
