Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the verification and validation testing of embedded systems. Understand product requirements and specifications, and identify problems in them, especially from the testing/testability viewpoint. Contribute to test plans with well-designed test cases for specific parts of the products. Execute automated and manual testing to verify and validate functionality.
  • Assist in harmonizing processes, tools, and methodologies for the functional workstream. Follow best practices and team recommendations and identify challenges in them.
  • Collaborate with development, testing and project and product management teams and document your work. Participate in relevant peer and code reviews. Actively participate in and contribute to team processes including planning, dailies, standups, retros, etc. Create and maintain synoptical and detailed documentation.
  • Contribute to a healthy local company culture. Embrace company vision, values, and mission.
  • Contribute towards program goals, ensuring schedules are met and deliverables are signed off in time, scope, and budget.
  • Assist in the evaluation of new and existing technologies to propose how they could be applied in new ways to solve problems (incl. pre-development/pre-studies).
  • Focus on growing as an engineer, learning existing tools, resources and processes.

  • CI/CD & DevOps (azure pipelines and similar, Jenkins and similar)
  • Test mentality (experience, mentality, diligence, completeness, coming up with Test cases, redacting test plans)

  • Linux (also in the embedded context)
  • Networking (layers, protocols, TCP/IP)
  • Basic electronics (electronic circuits, components, reading schematics, understanding PCBs) and Prototyping
  • Version control systems (git) and collaboration tools (Azure Devops, Jira, and similar)
  • Connectivity protocols (M-Bus, Eco, LoRa, wM-Bus, NB-IoT, MIoTy, MQTT)
  • Scripting (bash, bat and related)
  • Test automation (relevant frameworks, triggering strategies, PR blocks, nightly/weekly tests, test setups on-prem & cloud)
  • Requirements gathering and decomposition (decompose larger requirements into smaller, more manageable pieces, implicit requirements gathering, clarification of requirements) & and related task/backlog grooming
  • Scoping & punctuality (ability to provide accurate scopings, even with varying degrees of clarity-information)

2+ years of experience in development or testing, and a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar rounds up your profile.
