Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced QA Analyst / Manual Tester to support insurance product and workflow validation within a digital insurance platform environment. This role is focused on ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and functionality of insurance products, e-applications, workflows, forms, integrations, and business processes before deployment to end users.
The ideal candidate will possess strong insurance domain knowledge, hands-on manual testing experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively with business, compliance, operations, and technology teams.
Key Responsibilities
Product & Workflow Testing
- Perform end-to-end manual testing of insurance products and workflows
- Validate:
- Fixed Annuities
- Indexed Annuities
- Variable Annuities
- Life Insurance Products
- Electronic Applications (eApps)
- Submission and approval workflows
- Suitability and compliance processes
- eSignature workflows
- Document generation processes
- Verify product rules, rate tables, riders, disclosures, forms, and underwriting workflows
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
Test Planning & Execution
- Develop and maintain:
- Test Plans
- Test Scenarios
- Test Cases
- Test Scripts
- Defect Reports
- UAT Documentation
- Validate transaction processing and workflow outcomes
- Coordinate testing activities across business and technical teams
Defect Management & Troubleshooting
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution
- Perform root cause analysis for workflow, validation, form, and integration issues
- Support production issue investigation and validation of fixes
Compliance & Regulatory Validation
- Validate compliance and suitability requirements within business workflows
- Verify disclosures, forms, approvals, audit controls, and document retention processes
- Ensure business rules align with regulatory and organizational requirements
Integration & Data Validation
- Validate integrations with:
- Carrier systems
- CRM platforms
- Document management systems
- eSignature solutions
- APIs and downstream applications
- Perform API testing using Postman
- Execute SQL-based data validation and verification
Collaboration & Documentation
- Work closely with:
- Product Configuration Teams
- Business Analysts
- Compliance Teams
- Operations Teams
- Development Teams
- Third-Party Vendors
- Maintain testing documentation, release validation records, and audit evidence
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of insurance products and insurance business processes
