Requirements

We are seeking a Senior FSQA Manager to lead our Food Safety and Quality Assurance team. This is a hands-on leadership role, not a desk job. You’ll be actively involved on the production floor, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with food safety regulations, customer expectations, and internal quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a QA team of 10–12 employees across 1st and 2nd shifts.
  • Oversee and continuously improve FSQA programs including HACCP, SSOPs, SOPs, and GMPs.
  • Ensure compliance with BRC, USDA Organic, and other third-party audit standards.
  • Validate and maintain process documentation and quality systems.
  • Conduct internal audits and lead external audit preparations and responses.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Operations, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and verify sanitation effectiveness and environmental monitoring programs.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for regulatory agencies and customer quality representatives.Β 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in food science, Microbiology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of FSQA experience in a food manufacturing environment, preferably NRTE.
  • Strong knowledge of fully cooked proteins, cheeses, breads, and egg-based products.
  • Proven experience with BRC and Organic certification audits.
  • Demonstrated success leading QA teams in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Proficient in process validation, documentation, and root cause analysis.
  • HACCP and PCQI certifications strongly preferred.
