Infrastructure Test Lead

Position Description:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Infrastructure Test Lead to join our Emerging Technologies Cloud Team. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who excels in complex hybrid infrastructure environments and is passionate about ensuring reliability, stability, and quality across enterprise platforms. While this engagement focuses on traditional infrastructure components, the successful candidate will also be expected to support cloud-focused work as part of the broader team mandate.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Test Planning & Execution
o Review, refine, and complete existing infrastructure test plans.
o Develop comprehensive test plans covering network, compute, storage, cloud, platform, and automation components.
o Execute both manual and automated tests across enterprise infrastructure layers.
o Track, triage, and report defects, ensuring clear visibility into test coverage and results.
o Validate end-to-end infrastructure workflows to ensure alignment with architectural and operational requirements.

• Collaboration & Coordination
o Work closely with network engineers, platform owners, cloud engineers, automation engineers, and other technical stakeholders to ensure broad and effective test coverage.
o Participate in design and architecture reviews, providing insight into testability and operational readiness.
o Coordinate environment readiness with DevOps, operations, and cloud teams to support test execution cycles.
o Serve as a key liaison across teams to ensure alignment with project timelines, risks, and deliverables.

• Automation & Tooling
o Maintain and update Ansible playbooks used for infrastructure validation and automated testing.
o Integrate test workflows and validations into CI/CD pipelines where applicable.
o Enhance test automation frameworks, scripting, and tooling to streamline and scale infrastructure validation efforts.
o Contribute to infrastructure and cloud operational readiness, ensuring systems and services meet required standards before production use.

• Essential Qualifications
o Strong hands-on experience with Ansible for automation, configuration management, and infrastructure validation.
o Proven expertise in infrastructure testing, including functional, integration, and operational readiness validation.
o Familiarity with test management tools and defect tracking systems.
o Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
o Ability to work independently and lead testing efforts across multiple teams.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Technical Expertise
• Candidates should possess solid working knowledge in several of the following areas:
o Core networking protocols and enterprise network architecture
o F5 load balancing technologies
o Palo Alto Networks (PAN-OS) firewall rule sets and security policies
o Dell PowerStore storage systems
o Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) system administration
o OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) container orchestration fundamentals
o Public cloud best practices across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including cloud networking, security models, operational readiness, and cloud service validation
