Junior QA Engineer

Title: QA Automation Tester / Automation Test Engineer

Location: Hyderabad (Work from office – Immediate joiner only)

Job Description:

We are looking for a QA professional with hands-on experience in manual and basic automation testing. The ideal candidate should have a foundational understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC), good analytical skills, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality software.

Required Qualifications / Skills:

• 1–2 years of experience in Software Testing, with exposure to automation testing.
• Basic knowledge of manual testing methodologies, test case preparation, and bug reporting.
• Familiarity with bug tracking tools like JIRA or similar.
• Exposure to programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, or C# for writing simple automation scripts.
• Hands-on experience or strong understanding of automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG.
• Understanding of regression testing to ensure stability after changes or new feature additions.
• Basic knowledge of UI testing and cross-browser/device compatibility testing.
• Awareness of usability testing concepts to evaluate user experience.
• Ability to document and report defects with clear steps to reproduce.
• Good communication and collaboration skills to work with developers and other QA team members.
• Familiarity with basic automation frameworks and ability to write and maintain simple automated test scripts.
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and how automated tests fit into the development process.
• Basic knowledge of version control systems like Git.
• Willingness to learn performance testing tools like JMeter in future.
• Strong troubleshooting mindset and eagerness to grow in automation testing.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with senior QA team members to understand project requirements.
• Create and execute manual test cases to identify defects and ensure software functionality.
• Assist in writing and maintaining automated test scripts for common test scenarios.
• Document and track defects accurately, providing detailed steps to reproduce.
• Participate in test planning and review meetings with the development and QA teams.
• Learn and follow testing best practices, tools, and methodologies as guided by senior team members.
• Contribute to regression and exploratory testing to improve test coverage.
• Support efforts to integrate automation into the testing process under guidance.
• Be proactive and show a willingness to learn and take on new challenges within QA
