Overall Objective of the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Junior QA Engineer who is passionate about quality, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to the testing and validation of complex web-based applications and related equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in manual and automation testing, a solid understanding of web applications and APIs, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams such as developers, product managers, and DevOps. You will be responsible for designing and executing detailed test plans, identifying and tracking bugs, reviewing technical requirements, and ensuring that every new feature meets the highest standards of performance, usability, and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Test and validate new features equipment Web based application.
  • Run performance tests.
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Work together with internal teams (developers, product managers, DevOps, Support).
  • Investigate the escalated issues from customers.
  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
  • Attend SCRUM ceremonies.
  • Stay up to date with testing tools.
  • Write and execute automated tests.

Requirements

Must Have:

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
  • At least 1 year of experience in manual/automation testing.
  • Previous experience on QA testing methodologies and debugging.
  • Strong knowledge about web application testing and APIs.
  • Basic Linux OS administration.
  • Database experience – MySQL.
  • A practiced eye for pixel misalignments, margin errors, and other visual details.
  • Passionate about testing.
  • Team player.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with performance and/or security testing – strong advantage.
  • Experience with automated testing tools – strong advantage.
  • Familiar with Agile/Scrum development process.
  • Experience with Jenkins.
