The Role Overview

We are looking for a Junior QA Engineer to join our team. This position is specifically designed for an early-career professional with at least 1.5 years of experience who is ready to take on more responsibility within the SDLC.

In this role, you will support the quality of our software products by executing well-defined testing tasks while collaborating closely with experienced QA engineers, developers, and product teams. While the core of this role begins with manual testing, we are looking for someone with a strong interest in the technical side of QA; as you master our products, you will be fast-tracked into our automation initiatives over time.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute manual test cases for web and/or backend applications based on provided instructions and acceptance criteria.

• Perform small to medium, clearly defined testing tasks with increasing independence.

• Follow established QA processes, workflows, and documentation standards.

• Identify, reproduce, and clearly report defects, ensuring all necessary technical details are captured for the development team.

• Communicate test results, observations, and questions in a clear and simple manner.

• Participate in test reviews and apply feedback to improve future testing work.

• Gradually develop familiarity with our testing tools, environments, and automation frameworks.

You are an Associate QA Engineer with:

• At least 1.5 years of professional experience in software testing.

• A relevant degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical training).

• A solid understanding of software testing concepts and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Proficiency with Postman for backend/API verification.

• Previous exposure to automation tools or concepts is highly valued, as it will accelerate your transition into our automated workflows.

• The ability to follow instructions, test cases, and acceptance criteria carefully with a quality-first mindset.

• Curiosity and a learning-driven attitude—asking questions when something is unclear and demonstrating continuous improvement.

Nice to Have:

• A desire to learn and work with Python and Playwright.

• Experience with manual testing of web or backend applications in a high-traffic environment.

• Familiarity with defect tracking or test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, or similar).

• Understanding of Agile or Waterfall methodologies.

• ISTQB Foundation Level certification (completed or in progress).

• A strong desire to grow toward independent testing and automation engineering.
