QA Manual Tester

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Manual Tester to join our QA team, focusing on banking applications, particularly in the payments and SWIFT areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial systems, regulatory requirements, and transaction workflows, with hands-on experience in test planning, execution, and defect management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business and functional requirements related to banking and payment systems.
  • Design and execute manual test cases for end-to-end payment flows, including SWIFT message validation.
  • Perform regression, integration, and system testing across multiple environments.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Log, track, and manage defects using tools like JIRA, HP ALM, or similar.
  • Validate data integrity and transaction accuracy across systems.
  • Participate in UAT support and production verification when needed.
  • Ensure testing aligns with banking standards and compliance requirements (e.g., ISO 20022, AML, KYC).

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in manual testing, preferably in the banking domain.
  • Solid understanding of payment systems, SWIFT messaging, and transaction processing will be an additional asset.
  • Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, HP ALM).
  • Familiarity with SQL for data validation and backend testing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Knowledge of banking regulations and standards is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Prefferred experience with ISO 20022 or MT/MX SWIFT formats.
  • Exposure to automation tools (e.g., Selenium) is a plus.
  • Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • ISTQB certification or equivalent is desirable.
