Manual Tester with SQL
CGIPosition Description:
We are looking for an experienced Manual Tester / QA Engineer with strong SQL skills to join an international Agile team working on a large-scale transformation program for a leading global provider of payments and financial technology solutions.
The position is based in Warsaw, with a hybrid working model, at Al. Jerozolimskie 100
Job responsibilities:
β’ Gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and functional requirements
β’ Plan, design, and execute manual tests, including functional, integration, and regression testing
β’ Perform data-focused testing, including validation of data flows, transformations, and backend processing
β’ Write and execute SQL queries to validate data, investigate issues, and verify test results
β’ Test APIs, including REST and SOAP services
β’ Analyze application logs and database data to identify potential defects and root causes
β’ Create and maintain test documentation
β’ Collaborate with developers, analysts, and Product Owners
β’ Report and track defects using Jira or similar tools
β’ Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
β’ 3+ years of experience as a Manual Tester / QA Engineer
β’ Strong SQL knowledge, including JOINs, subqueries, and GROUP BY
β’ Experience testing backend systems or data-driven applications
β’ Hands-on experience with relational databases, such as PostgreSQL, MS SQL, Oracle, or MySQL
β’ Experience testing APIs, including REST and SOAP
β’ Ability to analyze business and technical requirements
β’ Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or similar tools
β’ Strong test documentation skills
β’ Good understanding of testing techniques
β’ Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
β’ Very good English and Polish communication skills
Nice to have:
β’ Basic knowledge of test automation tools, such as Postman, Python, Java, or Selenium
β’ Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
