Summary:

World leading ISR and Defense Electronics Company is actively seeking an experienced Manufacturing and Test Engineer II.

 

The Engineer will be responsible for both Manufacturing and Test Engineering tasks in support of complex products and systems.  The Engineer is responsible for development of system and subsystem manufacturing processes and test capability in support of programs, products, and developmental projects. The Engineer will take the lead in supporting the development of manufacturing, Environmental Stress Screening, and test capabilities based on system requirements and engineering group input, as well as supporting independent test execution and field level operational test capability. The Engineer will provide design support, complex analysis, troubleshooting, rework, repair, calibration, inspection, and maintenance duties on a broad application of complex electronic instruments, assemblies, subassemblies, standards and systems.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support engineering design, and developing/transitioning processes for integration, test, calibration and verification of complex products and systems for air, ground, vehicular, and manpack applications.
  • Define assembly and test processes for products and systems consisting of RF, analog and digital hardware, and software.
  • Coordinate with engineering, purchasing, and vendors for needed equipment and tools necessary to manufacture and test the product.
  • Provide basis of Estimates for assembly and test times, tooling, fixtures, travel, facilities upgrades, and test equipment needed during program proposal.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, rework and repair complex instruments, assemblies, subassemblies and systems.
  • Lead prototype and LRIP product assembly and test from prototype thru the Production Readiness Review (PRR) process.
  • Create and review production documentation for clarity, completeness, conformity to standards, and accuracy.
  • Assist in writing procedures and plans to ensure manufactured equipment meets all the specifications required by the customer.

 

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or similar discipline is preferred.
  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, SolidWorks, C/C++
  • Must have knowledge of RF, analog and digital hardware, and software.
  • Must be able to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly and test documentation
  • Must have math skills commensurate with job knowledge and requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills required to interface with internal and external customers.
  • Travel: 10-20% domestic and international
  • Candidates must document US citizenship and active security clearance at Secret level or above.
