We are seeking an experienced Mechanical QAΒ Manager to join our team in Limerick.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

Duties:<\/b>
<\/div>

<\/div>
  • Responsible for maintaining the Mechanical Quality Management System<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Take ownership for the quality delivery of projects, ensuring that all client specifications are met, by accurately developing and executing project quality plans & ITP’s.<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Lead the quality ethos for projects<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Lead the quality ethos for projects through a β€œRight First Time” approach.Β  This will be conducted through delivering training, quality toolbox talks, developing and approving β€œFirst of a Kind” mock -ups, and auditing and QA initiatives.<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Management of a Quality team including Field QA, Test Pack Engineers, NDT Specialists and Commissioning & Handover Supervisors<\/span><\/span>Β 
    <\/li>
  • Management of the database for each project; ensuring it is kept up to date and accurate, which will essentially deliver the handover documentation to the client.<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Review benchmarks and First of a Kind Installations.<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Overseeing the development of system and equipment test packs using Project Quality Management Software on a project -by -project basis.<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Liaise with the client on handover documentation, system handover and MC dates.<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Liaise with the construction teams regarding handover dates, scheduling walk downs, developing snag lists etc.Β  Monitoring snag trends and addressing same through construction teams.<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Review Installations for Compliance to Project Specific Quality Plan & ITPs, Project standards, specification, design, procedures & expectations.<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Manage 3rd party inspections & NDT contractors to ensure project requirements are met.<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Ensure QA requirements are met by subcontractors.<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Oversee & complete regular site quality audits.<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Attend quality meetings with management and subcontractors and report on quality as required.<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Liaise with other in -house specialist Mechanical QA/QC Leads as required
    <\/li><\/ul>

    Skills and Requirements<\/span><\/span><\/b>Β <\/b>
    <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

    • Relevant mechanical/quality qualification<\/span><\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a similar role<\/span><\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Knowledge of Hygienic Piping Installation essential, including ASME codes<\/span><\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Knowledge of Pharmaceutical Piping Systems and associated P&IDs essential<\/span><\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Knowledge of orbital welding equipment and weld procedures<\/span><\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Formal European Welding Inspection Qualification required, Minimum CSWIP 3.1<\/span><\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Further Quality Inspection qualifications would be advantageous, E.g., Paint & Coatings<\/span><\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office essential, plus use of large QA database systems such as Eida<\/span><\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Experience working with Quality software would be advantageous.<\/span><\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential
