We are currently looking for a Mechanical Test Engineer to join the team in Leiden.

As a Mechanical Test Engineer, you will play a role in developing subsystems and components for various projects, using either testing or analytical approaches. Your work will be guided by standard procedures and methodologies described in technical documentation.


Please note that this role is intended to last for six months, with possible extension to one year. Freelancers are welcome to apply.

Mechanical Test Engineer

Main responsibilities 


  • Participate in the analysis, specification, design, verification, and documentation of subsystems and/or components to support the development of a sub-product in line with project requirements.
  • Create test procedures and expected results based on the test plan, perform tests, analyze the results, and produce comprehensive test reports. Coordinate the preparation and execution of on-site tests.
  • Provide support during the construction and commissioning of (sub)systems for the (internal) client.
  • Conduct reviews of designs and production drawings within your specific area of expertise.
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in your field and regularly inform the team leader.
  • Collaboration with external stakeholders, as well as testing on-site.


Requirements


  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field like Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 4 years of experience working in a similar role (please mind that software testing is not the right fit for this role).
  • At least 2 years of experience working in the aerospace sector or a similar domain.
  • You are proficient in English. Dutch is an advantage.
  • You enjoy working in a team.
  • You are customer-oriented and results-driven.
