Description

Responsibilities
  • Design and execute experiments to characterize photonic and electronic integrated circuits.Β 
  • Collaborate with the design teams to incorporate test results into improved designs.Β 
  • Develop automated wafer and chip test stations for accurate and repeatable data acquisition.
  • Integrate and automate commercial hardware platforms for use in test platforms.Β 
  • Design, evaluate, and improve custom hardware using computer-aided design (CAD) software and rapid prototyping tools.Β 
  • Support the adaptation of the test station from the R&D phase into high-volume manufacturing test platforms.
  • Accountable for quality and accuracy of own output.Β 
  • Responsible for contribution to teamwork.Β 
  • Carries out tasks/ activities according to assignment and set guidelines.Β 
  • Demonstrates initiative and adaptability to changing business environments.Β #LI-DNI

Domestic travel up to 10% required.

International travel up to 10% required.

Telecommuting from a location within commuting distance of New York, NY may be permitted up to 40%.



Qualifications

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Systems, Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Systems, Physics or a related field.Β 

Experience or education in:Β 

  • Developing software in Python, MATLAB, or C++;Β 
  • Analyzing measurement data to extract parameters and performance metrics;Β 
  • Building and debugging test systems; Python; and, Lab experience working with optical components and instruments.Β 

Skills may be gained through experience or academic coursework. Qualifying education, coursework, and/or experience may have been gained concurrently.
