The Role

• Hired for the Colombo Office based in Sri Lanka.
• Enhance the software quality by developing and maintaining robust automated testing solutions.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to establish an effective test automation suite.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test suite to support releases verifications.
• Contributes while test plans are developed as per the work assigned.
• Create (and review) the Test Cases from the Functional Specifications or Software Requirement Specification document.
• Test the Functionality as per the Test plan and respective Test Cases.
• Measure the effectiveness of testing and design, whilst having to report any issues that you may come across.
• Actively work with the onshore development team, review user stories and propose.
• designs with testability in mind and drive testability improvements in every solution.
• Always keep in mind the users’ needs and wants, when developing solutions.
• Bring innovation and industry trends in the Software testing space to your work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or related field).
• You have a solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and Software Testing Life Cycle.
• Knowledge of automated UI testing, API testing, regression testing.
• For QA Automation Engineer (Mid-Level):

2+ years of experience in developing automated and manual tests for customer-specific solutions.

• For Senior QA Automation Engineer:

4+ years of experience in leading and developing automated and manual tests for complex, customer-specific solutions.

• Hands-on experience with Playwright or Selenium.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript for writing test scripts.
• Definition of test scenarios based on requirements and in collaboration with operational business units.
• Proven Testing experience within a structured testing environment.
• Ability to think creatively and generate and prioritize test cases.
• Demonstrate a good understanding of complex systems.
• Good command of English both verbally and in writing.
• A thorough familiarity with agile development methodologies, including Scrum.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Azure DevOps tasks, Knowledge of SQL.
• Experience in testing ERP/HR systems.
