Maxwood Furniture is a rapidly growing furniture company with an expanding portfolio of brands such as Max & Lily, Plank + Beam, and Maxtrix. With multiple sales channels including our DTC websites and third-party marketplaces, we’re passionate about delivering a seamless and inspiring shopping experience. As we continue to scale, we’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive?QA Analyst?to join our development team.Β 

This role will be embedded within our engineering group and play a critical part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our websites and system integrations. The ideal candidate will have strong manual testing skills, a deep understanding of eCommerce platforms (especially Shopify), and a vision for building automated testing capabilities over time.

ResponsibilitiesΒ 

Testing & Quality AssuranceΒ 

  • Perform manual testing across websites, integrations, and new features to identify bugs and usability issues.Β 
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and regression testing protocols.Β 
  • Document and communicate defects clearly to developers and stakeholders.Β 
  • Ensure consistent quality across multiple brands and platforms.Β 

Automation Strategy & ImplementationΒ 

  • Evaluate tools and frameworks for automated testing.Β 
  • Build and maintain automated test scripts as the testing program matures.Β 
  • Collaborate with developers to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.Β 

Cross-Functional CollaborationΒ 

  • Work closely with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.Β 
  • Shepherd business owners through user acceptance testing (UAT), providing guidance and support.Β 
  • Participate in sprint planning and retrospectives to ensure QA coverage and continuous improvement.Β 

Platform ExpertiseΒ 

  • Apply knowledge of Shopify to validate storefront functionality, checkout flows, and app integrations.Β 
  • Test third-party integrations including ERP systems, product content tools, and marketing platforms.Β 
Requirements

Β 

  • 2+ years of experience in QA or software testing, preferably in an eCommerce environment.Β 
  • Strong manual testing skills with attention to detail and process.Β 
  • Familiarity with Shopify platform preferred, including storefront behavior and app ecosystem.Β 
  • Experience with test case management tools and bug tracking systems.Β 
  • Exposure to automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) and scripting languages is a plus.Β 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Β 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.Β 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.Β 
  • This role is based in our Charleston, SC office.Β 
  • Hybrid work option available after 90 days of successful in-office performance.Β
