A bit about the roleĀ
As part of the Digital Test team, you willĀ be responsible forĀ analysis, planning, design,Ā implementationĀ and delivery of testing toĀ ensureĀ productĀ readiness of complex technical systems in a mixed technology environment.Ā Ā
As an experienced Senior QAĀ Analyst,Ā you will deliver on-timeĀ high qualityĀ software projects for a company that has raised more than Ā£45bn forĀ good causesĀ and puts quality and brand integrityĀ above all else. You will be working on a wide and varied range of projects; some small where you could be on your own for a week or two, toĀ very largeĀ with dozens of QA Analysts for a year or more. This role is expected to be an SME in at least one Allwyn system or applicationĀ
What youāll be doingĀ
- Identify areas for exploratory testing and run them as part of aĀ risk-basedĀ approachĀ
- Build strong relationship with wider QA group and across IT to enable effective problem solvingĀ
- Acts as point of escalation for QAĀ Analysts AccuratelyĀ provide project updates to QA LeadĀ
- Debugging issues andĀ identifyĀ root causes of problemsĀ
- Articulate project risks early andĀ identifyĀ mitigationsĀ and take ownership of key governance deliverables such as test plans, riskĀ logsĀ and reportingĀ
- Shift the team left wherever possible through reviewingĀ requirementsĀ and getting involved inĀ Design and Architecture from a Quality perspective providingĀ appropriate feedbackĀ
- Utilize domainĀ expertiseĀ to contribute to the shaping of the test approach on one or more projects in liaison with other team members and the QA Lead(s)Ā
- Assist with identifying testing suitable for automationĀ
- Where required, lead the QA team in the delivery of test projects including creation of test plans, resourceĀ schedulesĀ and other test deliverables according to project milestones and the Camelot governance change frameworkĀ
- Identify and implement improvements to QA processĀ
- Perform test analysis,Ā designĀ and execution on projects within remit, logging defects, updatingĀ resultsĀ and reporting progress.Ā
- Be a mentor to other members of the teamĀ
- Assist the QA Lead with resource planning and have a key voice in planning for projects and providing estimatesĀ
- Build an in-depth knowledge of multiple areas across Camelot and the Gambling domainĀ
What experience weāre looking forĀ
- Strong experience in QA and Testing methodologies including functional and structural test techniques
- Solid experience of multichannel testing including Desktop and MobileĀ
- Track record in the use of innovative technology solutions to deliver efficiencies in testing and defect preventionĀ
- Several experiences in formulating and articulating approaches to testing for a variety of complex systemsĀ
- Expert understanding of technologies such as SQL, Putty,Ā Postman
- Good knowledge of tools like Jira, Test Rail,Ā Browser StackĀ or similarĀ
- Proven experience of requirements validation andĀ risk-basedĀ testingĀ
- Hands on experience specifying,Ā establishingĀ and managing test environments and test dataĀ
- Proven estimation ability and techniquesĀ
- Strong and well-developed understanding of internet technologies and distributed environmentsĀ
- Holds industry recognised certifications such as ISTQBĀ
- You are aĀ clear and effectiveĀ communicator.
