Job Description

Natixis in Portugal is currently seeking a Manual QA Analyst (French Speaker) to join its BPCE SI (BPCE Solutions Informatiques) team, within the IT (Information Technologies) department, to join our dynamic team.

In this crucial role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through comprehensive manual testing. You will play a key part in the entire testing lifecycle, from understanding requirements to executing test cases and reporting defects. This is an excellent opportunity for a QA professional who thrives in collaborative environments and is passionate about delivering high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Case Execution: Primarily focus on the execution of Test Network Requirements (TNRs) and other defined test cases to ensure product functionality meets specified requirements.
  • Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects thoroughly using Jira Xray (or a similar test management tool). Provide clear and concise descriptions, steps to reproduce, and supporting evidence.
  • Test Planning & Design: Contribute to test planning and strategy by reviewing requirements and user stories to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to ensure that new changes have not adversely affected existing functionality.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand the product and testing needs.
  • Reporting: Provide clear and concise status updates on testing progress and defect status.

Qualifications

 

  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in French (written and spoken) is essential. A minimum B2 level proficiency is required.

  • Manual Testing Experience: Proven experience in manual software testing, including functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
  • Test Management Tools: Hands-on experience with test management tools, particularly Jira Xray, is highly desirable. Experience with similar tools (e.g., Zephyr, TestRail, Azure Test Plans) will also be considered.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical issues clearly.
  • Agile/Scrum Familiarity: Understanding of Agile development methodologies and experience working within a Scrum team is a plus.
  • Proactiveness: Ability to work independently and take initiative to identify potential issues.
