What you will be doing:
Transform complex business and technical requirements into comprehensive, actionable test plans and clear acceptance criteria. This includes understanding and challenging the requirements to ensure clarity and accuracy.
Develop and maintain high-quality manual test cases and detailed execution plans.
Execute rigorous tests, precisely document results, and meticulously raise defects.
Collaborate closely with developers, Business Analysts (BAs), and report builders to refine solutions, ensuring continuous alignment between the intended outcome and the final implementation.
Drive QA feedback loops throughout the development lifecycle, with a strong focus on early defect detection and efficient resolution.
Take ownership of regression testing cycles, provide support for release planning, and consistently ensure high quality across all system updates.
Champion a robust culture of quality, data precision, and test accountability within the team.
What our client is looking for:
3-8 years of experience working with data, with a strong emphasis on testing and documentation.
Possess a deep understanding of the test lifecycle, defect management, and requirement traceability.
Able to break down complex workflows into clear, step-by-step test plans and effectively identify edge cases.
Collaborative working style, with experience engaging cross-functional teams.
Advanced skills in Excel and documentation platforms (e.g., Confluence, Word).
Experience or formal training in software QA.
Exposure to financial services, investment operations, or reporting/data-driven environments.
Familiarity with SQL for data validation and ad hoc querying, and an understanding of Agile delivery practices and test coverage metrics.
Knowledge of BI tools like Power BI and experience with testing and reporting within those contexts.
