Project Description

This project is with one of our largest clients. This multi-level marketing (MLM) company specializes in health and wellness products distributed worldwide. This company is rapidly growing and innovating in wearable wellness and natural health technologies, emphasizing product quality, customer service, and social responsibility. With a global network of Brand Partners, the company leverages patented technologies and extensive scientific research to create impactful health solutions. This 6-month contract role offers the opportunity to contribute to the quality assurance of a sophisticated web platform supporting this expanding ecosystem.

Role Overview

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will own the quality assurance process for a complex, microservices-based web application that supports global health and wellness product distribution. Your focus will be on designing and implementing robust automated tests to ensure exceptional UI functionality, seamless integration, and optimal performance across devices and browsers. You will collaborate closely with frontend developers and UX designers to embed testability early in the development lifecycle, maintaining high standards of reliability and user experience.

Role Responsibilities

• Develop and execute detailed test plans targeting UI, functionality, and microservices integrations.
   
• Build and maintain automated testing frameworks using Jest, React Testing Library, and/or Cypress.
   
• Create end-to-end automated tests to validate critical user journeys spanning multiple services.
   
• Perform performance testing to ensure responsiveness and efficiency of the web application.
   
• Implement visual regression testing to detect UI inconsistencies during development.
   
• Test API integrations between frontend and microservices backend systems.
   
• Validate cross-browser and cross-device compatibility to guarantee a consistent user experience.
   
• Partner with frontend engineers and UX designers to incorporate testability into feature development from the outset.
   
• Set up and sustain CI/CD pipelines with integrated automated testing at every stage of deployment.
   
• Develop testing strategies for offline functionality and synchronization processes, if applicable.
   
• Implement frontend error monitoring and tracking for early detection and resolution of production issues.

Interview Plan:

1. Screening Interview (On-Demand HireVue)
   Duration: 30 minutes
   Format: Online assessment where we will gauge your initial qualifications and experience.
    
2. Recruiter Q&A
   Duration: 10 minutes
   Format: Virtual discussion with our recruiter to address any initial questions and go over the job details. This is not an interview
    
3. Round 1: Live Technical Interview
   Duration: 60 minutes
   Format: Live virtual interview where you will be challenged on your hands-on automation abilities and able to solve complex technical testing tasks
    
4. Round 2: Hiring Manager Interview
   Duration: 30 minutes
   Format: Virtual interview with the hiring manager to discuss the role in more detail, evaluate cultural fit, and review your experience.
   
    
5. Round 3: Client Interview 1
   Duration: 30 minutes
   Format: Virtual interview with a Client engineering manager and QA Manager to assess cultural/experience fit

Total interview time investment: 2.5 - 3.5 hours.
