QA Automation Engineer

Webz.io is looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join our team as a maternity leave replacement for a minimum period of 6 months, with the potential for extension.

Webz.io empowers organizations with seamless access to high-quality open, deep and dark web data, helping customers focus on generating intelligence and insights rather than managing complex data collection processes.

As a QA Automation Engineer at Webz.io, you will work across multiple products, including our core platform, Lunar and Playground, ensuring a high-quality experience for our customers.

This is a hybrid QA role combining both manual and automated testing (approximately 50/50), with a strong focus on web applications and APIs.

  • Design and execute test plans, test cases and exploratory testing scenarios for web applications and APIs.
  • Perform functional, regression and end-to-end testing.
  • Review product requirements, identify gaps and challenge assumptions.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Developers throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain automated regression tests for key user flows.
  • Validate data accuracy, system behavior and product functionality.
  • Identify, document and track defects through resolution.
  • Investigate production issues and verify bug fixes.
  • 3+ years of experience in Software QA.
  • Experience testing SaaS web applications and REST APIs.
  • Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
  • Experience with test automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress or similar.
  • Familiarity with Python, JavaScript or another scripting language.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Fluent English.
