QA Automation Engineer

The Position

MetaDefender Drive’s technology is a fusion of a hardened USB platform, a customized secure Linux scanning environment, and multi-layer OPSWAT threat detection engines, allowing it to deeply inspect a system before it joins a network, with zero reliance on the system’s own OS.

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to support the quality assurance of OPSWAT’s cybersecurity products. In this role, you will work closely with experienced team members and be involved in different stages of the software development lifecycle, with opportunities to learn both manual and automation testing.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Execute manual and automated testing activities

  • Review product requirements and clarify test scenarios with the team

  • Write and maintain basic test cases and test documentation

  • Perform different types of testing, including: functional testing, integration testing, API testing (basic level), regression testing and usability testing

  • Support automation tasks using TypeScript/Javascript(with guidance from senior team members)

  • Identify, document, and track bugs clearly

  • Assist in reproducing issues and supporting troubleshooting when needed

What We Need From You

  • 0–2 years of experience in software testing or a strong interest in QA

  • Basic understanding of software testing concepts and QA processes

  • Familiarity with Linux environment and web application testing

  • Basic programming knowledge in TypeScript/Javascript or willingness to learn automation

  • Willingness to learn, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude

  • Familiarity with using AI tools to improve productivity

  • Good written English communication skills

  • Familiar with Automation Framework (e.g. Playwright)

It Would Be Nice If You Had

  • Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Git, or CI/CD tools like TeamCity

  • Exposure to test automation or scripting

  • Basic knowledge or interest in cybersecurity or networking

  • Ability to communicate in English (verbal)
