QA Automation Engineer (Playwright Specialist)

About the Role<\/b>

We’re seeking a passionate Automation QA Engineer<\/b> with hands -on experience in Playwright <\/b>to strengthen our quality assurance processes. You’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation test suites for our web applications, ensuring reliability, scalability, and high -quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities<\/b>
<\/p>

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright <\/b>(TypeScript/JavaScript).
  <\/span><\/li>
• Build and optimize test frameworks and reusable components<\/b> to improve testing efficiency.
  <\/span><\/li>
• Participate in test planning, estimation, and strategy discussions<\/b>.
  <\/span><\/li>
• Work closely with developers and product owners to understand requirements and define acceptance criteria.
  <\/span><\/li>
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and smoke tests<\/b> in automation pipelines.
  <\/span><\/li>
• Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines<\/b> (e.g., Bitbucket, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps).
  <\/span><\/li>
• Maintain and enhance test environments and configurations<\/b> for cross -browser testing.
  <\/span><\/li>
• Perform API testing<\/b> and integrate with Playwright or Postman for end -to -end validation.
  <\/span><\/li>
• Log, track, and verify defects using JIRA<\/b> or similar tools.
  <\/span><\/li>
• Participate in code reviews<\/b>, peer automation reviews, and QA best practice discussions.
  <\/span><\/li>
• Continuously improve testing strategy, focusing on stability, speed, and maintainability<\/b>.
  <\/span><\/li>
• Collaborate with the development team to identify and resolve defects early in the SDLC.
  <\/span><\/li>
• Maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test <\/b>reports<\/b>.<\/span>

  Required Skills & Qualifications<\/b>

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent field.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • 3–4 years<\/b> of experience in QA automation with at least 1–2 years hands -on with Playwright<\/b>.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Strong expertise in JavaScript or TypeScript<\/b>.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Deep understanding of Playwright framework<\/b> (test runner, fixtures, tracing, parallel execution, and reporting).<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Experience testing modern web applications<\/b> (React, Angular, Vue, etc.).<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Familiarity with API automation<\/b> using Playwright, Postman, or RestAssured.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools<\/b> (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI).<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Experience with Git -based version control<\/b> and branching workflows.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies<\/b> and sprint -based QA practices.<\/span>

    • Experience with BDD frameworks<\/b> like Cucumber or Gherkin syntax integration.<\/span>
