About the Role
We are seeking experienced QA Engineers with 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing for a contractual engagement. The ideal candidates will work closely with our development and product teams to ensure high-quality deliverables. This is a remote position with work hours aligned to 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM IST to overlap with our US-based team.
Key Responsibilities
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using appropriate tools.
- Identify, document, and track bugs using standard bug tracking systems.
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
- Collaborate with internal teams (developers, product managers) to identify system requirements.
- Monitor the debugging process and provide feedback for improvement.
- Track and report quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defects.
- Stay updated with current QA trends, tools, and methodologies.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in manual and automation testing.
- Proven work experience in software development and software quality assurance.
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Hands-on experience with white-box and black-box testing.
- Experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, etc.).
- Hands-on experience in API testing.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes.
- Experience in performance and/or security testing is a plus.
- Bachelorβs or Masterβs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
