Position Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Automation QA Test Engineer to join our dynamic and growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for testing and validating our companyโ€™s ongoing projects, working in close collaboration with development teams in India and North America, as well as with business and customer stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Selenium-based automation and a deep understanding of warehouse management systems, particularly Manhattan Active WMS. Main Responsibilities:

Perform end-to-end testing across multiple phases: FUT (Functional Unit Testing), SIT (System Integration Testing), and UAT (User Acceptance Testing).ย 
Experience in Validation Testing and regression automation for critical business workflows.ย 
Hands-on experience with Manhattan Active WMS, particularly in warehouse transactions and logistics processes.ย 
Expertise in Retail and Logistics domain, with practical knowledge of supply chain management workflows.ย 
Validate EDI transactions, business-critical reports, and ensure data accuracy across integrated systems.ย 
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand technical specifications and translate them into detailed test scenarios and test cases.ย 


Experience and Qualifications:ย 

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.ย 
8+ years of experience in Automation Testing using Selenium with Python.ย 
Proven experience in creating and maintaining automation scripts for regression testing suites.ย 
Ability to define and implement Test Strategies, Test Plans, and Test Scenarios.ย 
Proficient in PL/SQL for backend/database validation.ย 
Hands-on experience with setting up and managing automation testing tools.ย 
Good understanding of report validation and EDI testing in enterprise systems.ย 
Comfortable working in Agile environments with experience in tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps.ย 
Strong communication skills (written and verbal) for interaction with global teams and stakeholders.ย 
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a client-facing environment.ย 


What Success Looks Like in the First 90 Days
By the end of Month 1:

Learn the Environment: Understand the companyโ€™s products, QA processes, tools, and team structure.
Build Relationships: Establish rapport with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
Assess Current QA Practices: Review test plans, automation frameworks, defect management, and release cycles.
Identify Gaps: Spot areas for improvement in quality processes, documentation, and team skills.

By the end of Month 2:
Define QA Strategy: Draft a roadmap for improving quality assurance processes (manual + automation).
Set Standards: Introduce or refine testing guidelines, coding standards for automation, and reporting metrics.
Team Development: Evaluate team strengths and weaknesses; plan training or mentoring if needed.
Collaborate on Releases: Ensure QA is integrated into CI/CD pipelines and sprint planning.


By the end of Month 3:
Implement Improvements: Start rolling out automation enhancements, better test coverage, and defect tracking.
Show Metrics: Provide measurable improvements (e.g., reduced defect leakage, faster regression cycles).
Stakeholder Confidence: Demonstrate reliability in QA processes during releases.
Future Roadmap: Present a long-term QA strategy aligned with business goals

Defect Detection Rateโ€“ Measures the number of defects found during testing vs. post-release.
Test Coverageโ€“ Percentage of code or features covered by manual and automated tests.
Defect Leakage Rateโ€“ Tracks bugs that escape to production, indicating test effectiveness.
Test Execution Efficiencyโ€“ Compares planned vs. executed test cases within the testing cycle.
Team Productivity & Collaborationโ€“ Assesses the QA teamโ€™s output, communication, and adherence to timelines.
