QA Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA Lead with a strong background in both manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate should have over 6+ years of QA experience, with a proven track record in leading QA teams, developing test strategies, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions. As a QA Lead, you will play a key role in driving quality practices across the SDLC, mentoring team members, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the QA team, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality releases.
• Define, implement, and continuously improve QA processes, tools, and best practices.
• Develop and execute manual and automated test cases, test plans, and test strategies.
• Collaborate with Product, Development, and DevOps teams to define acceptance criteria and ensure test coverage.
• Own the test automation framework and drive automation initiatives to improve testing efficiency.
• Review and analyze system specifications and requirements.
• Identify, record, and track bugs; perform root cause analysis and impact assessment.
• Ensure QA deliverables meet business and functional requirements.
• Provide regular status updates to stakeholders on testing progress and quality metrics.
• Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, conducting code reviews and training sessions.
• Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and demos.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with hands-on experience in manual and automation testing.
• At least 2 years of experience in a QA leadership or team lead role.
• Strong experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit, Postman, etc.
• Experience in API testing, UI testing, and cross-browser testing.
• Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
• Proficient in defect management tools like JIRA, TestRail, Bugzilla, etc.
• Knowledge of version control tools like Git.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience in continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) environments is a plus.
• Familiarity with performance or security testing is a bonus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Exposure to containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

Certification in ISTQB or other QA-related credentials.
