QA Lead
Psybergate is an IT company that builds bespoke software solutions and provides highly skilled resources to its clients.
We are looking for a QA Lead to join our financial services client based in Johannesburg on a 12-months contract basis.

What you will be doing:
Lead test implementation in accordance with agreed Quality Assurance principles, standards, and methodologies.
Manage product risk and inter-dependencies across the Product Life Cycle.
Ensure alignment between Business Analysis, Development, Quality Assurance, and Environment teams to optimise testing efficiencies across the product delivery stack.
Drive team effectiveness and foster healthy team dynamics within Agile delivery teams.
Design, develop, and implement reusable automated test assets using the enterprise automation framework and approved testing tools.
Inspect, analyse, and quality assure solutions and solution architecture to ensure overall product quality.
Lead Front-End, API, and Performance Testing initiatives across multiple delivery streams.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using industry best practices.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
Identify, track, and manage defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
Ensure quality gates, standards, and governance practices are adhered to across all testing activities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in testing processes and automation capabilities.
What we are looking for:
Relevant Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.Β
5+ years' experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance.
5+ years' experience working in Agile environments and Agile delivery teams.
Strong experience with test automation standards, frameworks, and procedures.
Proven experience in Front-End, API, and Performance Testing.
Hands-on experience with Selenium, Appium, Healenium, RestAssured, and JMeter.
Strong understanding of testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
Experience in Data Quality Assurance and validation techniques.
Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming concepts.
Experience leading QA activities across complex enterprise environments.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
