Job Title: QA Lead

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and manage testing processes that align with organizational goals.
• Lead a team of QA testers, providing guidance and support for their work.
• Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Oversee manual and automated testing efforts, including smoke, regression, and performance tests.
• Identify and track defects using appropriate tools, ensuring timely resolution.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand project requirements and deliverables.
• Establish metrics for the QA process and report on quality status to stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement in testing methodologies and processes.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate testing into the software development lifecycle.
• Mentor junior QA staff and facilitate training sessions.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in quality assurance.
• Audit and review test documentation and process adherence.
• Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new QA team members.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all testing activities.
• Advocate for quality throughout the SDLC, contributing to a culture of quality within the organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in quality assurance or software testing.
• 2+ years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in a distributed team.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
• Proficiency in various testing tools and automation frameworks.
• Expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools.
• Experience in creating and maintaining test documentation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Experience in performance and security testing is a plus.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and team collaboration.
• Certifications like ISTQB or equivalent are preferred.
• Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous learning and process improvement.
