QA Lead
We are looking for an experienced QA Lead to manage the testing and quality processes for web and GIS -based applications. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in manual and automation testing, GIS data validation, and functional testing of large -scale, map -driven systems.

Key Responsibilities<\/b>

1. QA Strategy & Planning<\/b>
<\/div>
<\/div>
- Define and execute the QA strategy, test plans, and test cases for web and GIS components.
<\/span><\/li>- Plan and manage testing activities across multiple sprints and releases.
<\/span><\/li>- Identify and document test scenarios for both functional and spatial data workflows.
<\/span><\/li>- Lead the QA team to ensure coverage and consistency across test cycles.
<\/span><\/li><\/ul>2. Testing & Validation<\/b>
<\/div>- Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing of web applications.
<\/span><\/li>- Validate GIS data accuracy β map layers, coordinates, spatial queries, and metadata consistency.
<\/span><\/li>- Test map rendering, layer overlays, geoprocessing tools, and API integrations.
<\/span><\/li>- Automate critical test scenarios using frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, or Postman Collections.
<\/span><\/li>- Conduct API testing and validation of backend services (REST/JSON).
<\/span><\/li><\/ul>3. Quality Control & Reporting<\/b>
<\/div>- Track and report defects through JIRA or Azure DevOps.
<\/span><\/li>- Coordinate defect triage and ensure timely resolutions with the dev team.
<\/span><\/li>- Maintain detailed QA documentation β test plans, results, and quality metrics.
<\/span><\/li>- Implement and monitor quality KPIs for project delivery.
<\/span><\/li><\/ul>4. Collaboration & Leadership<\/b>
<\/div>- Work closely with developers, GIS SMEs, BAs, and DevOps for seamless release management.
<\/span><\/li>- Provide technical guidance to junior QA engineers.
<\/span><\/li>- Participate in client demos and user acceptance testing (UAT).
<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

<\/div><\/span>Requirements<\/h3>
Required Skills & Experience<\/b>
<\/div>- 5β7 years of experience in QA, with at least 2+ years in a lead capacity.
<\/span><\/li>- Strong understanding of Web and GIS application testing.
<\/span><\/li>- Experience with:
<\/span><\/li>- Automation Tools: Selenium, Postman, JMeter, Cypress
<\/span><\/li>- GIS Tools: QGIS, ArcGIS Online, GeoServer testing, or similar
<\/span><\/li>- Databases: PostgreSQL/PostGIS, Oracle Spatial
<\/span><\/li>- Experience validating map services (WMS/WFS) and geospatial data workflows.
<\/span><\/li>- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology and sprint -based testing.
<\/span><\/li>- Strong analytical, debugging, and documentation skills.
<\/span><\/li><\/ul>Preferred Qualifications<\/b>
<\/div>- Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Geoinformatics, or Engineering.
<\/span><\/li>- Exposure to enterprise -grade GIS digital platforms
<\/span><\/li>- Experience in performance testing and API automation frameworks.
<\/span><\/li>- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and QA automation integration.
