QA Lead - Mobile Platform / Responsable QA – Plateforme Mobile

As a QA Lead in the mobile unit, you will be responsible for supporting iOS and Android platforms for our Untitled AAA project. You will be executing the quality assurance strategy, managing a QA team, and ensuring that testing efforts align with project goals. You’ll guide testers, collaborate with developers and production, and maintain high standards for stability, functionality, and player experience.  

• Lead, mentor, and support QA testers, helping them grow their skills and effectiveness. 
• Assign testing tasks, manage workloads, and ensure coverage across features and milestones. 
• Review bug reports, test cases, and documentation to maintain clarity and consistency. 
• Foster a culture of quality, communication, and continuous improvement. 
• Define & maintain QA processes, standards, and best practices across the project. 
• Create and oversee test plans, test cases, and risk assessments for major systems and features. 
• Partner with production to estimate QA scope, plan resources, and track quality‑related risks. 
• Support integration testing when new systems or content are merged. 
• Use debugging tools, logs, and engine features to investigate issues at a deeper technical level. 
• Work closely with designers, engineers, and producers to understand feature goals and technical constraints. 
• Participate in sprint planning, stand‑ups, and feature reviews to stay aligned with development progress. 
• Communicate blockers, risks, and quality concerns clearly and proactively to stakeholders. 
• Help maintain build stability through smoke tests, validation checks, and proactive issue identification. 
• Contribute to improving QA tools, dashboards, and workflows to increase efficiency and consistency. 

RESPONSABILITÉS

En tant que Chef QA au sein de l’unité mobile, vous serez responsable du support des plateformes iOS et Android pour notre projet AAA non annoncé. Vous exécuterez la stratégie d’assurance qualité, gérerez une équipe QA et veillerez à ce que les efforts de test soient alignés avec les objectifs du projet. Vous guiderez les testeurs, collaborerez avec les équipes de développement et de production, et maintiendrez des standards élevés en matière de stabilité, de fonctionnalités et d’expérience joueur.

• Diriger, encadrer et soutenir les testeurs QA afin de développer leurs compétences et leur efficacité.
• Attribuer les tâches de test, gérer la charge de travail et assurer une couverture adéquate des fonctionnalités et des jalons.
• Réviser les rapports de bogues, les cas de test et la documentation pour assurer clarté et cohérence.
• Favoriser une culture axée sur la qualité, la communication et l’amélioration continue.
• Définir et maintenir les processus QA, standards et meilleures pratiques sur l’ensemble du projet.
• Créer et superviser les plans de test, cas de test et analyses de risques pour les systèmes et fonctionnalités majeurs.
• Collaborer avec la production pour estimer l’ampleur du QA, planifier les ressources et suivre les risques liés à la qualité.
• Soutenir les tests d’intégration lors de l’ajout de nouveaux systèmes ou contenus.
• Utiliser des outils de débogage, journaux et fonctionnalités du moteur pour investiguer les problèmes à un niveau technique approfondi.
• Travailler étroitement avec les designers, ingénieurs et producteurs pour comprendre les objectifs des fonctionnalités et les contraintes techniques.
• Participer aux planifications de sprint, rencontres quotidiennes et revues de fonctionnalités afin de rester aligné avec l’avancement du développement.
• Communiquer de manière proactive et claire les blocages, risques et enjeux de qualité aux parties prenantes.
• Contribuer au maintien de la stabilité des builds via des tests de fumée, validations et identification proactive des problèmes.
• Participer à l’amélioration des outils, tableaux de bord et flux de travail QA afin d’augmenter l’efficacité et la cohérence.

Basic Requirements:  

• Proven experience in video game QA, often with 3+ years in a senior or lead role. 
• Strong experience testing native mobile applications (iOS & Android) 
• Knowledge of mobile certification requirements & platform‑specific testing. 
• Significant experience in QA testing, QA analysis, or embedded QA roles within game development. 
• Strong understanding of game development workflows and tools (Unity, Unreal, or proprietary engines). 
• Proficiency with bug‑tracking systems (Jira, DevTrack, Hansoft, etc.). 
• Ability to write and review clear, concise, and technically detailed bug reports. 
• Excellent communication skills and comfort working with cross‑disciplinary teams. 
• Proven leadership or mentorship experience within QA. 
• Ability to manage testing priorities in a fast‑paced environment. 
• Experience contributing to at least one shipped game or major feature set. 

Desired Characteristics:  

• Familiarity with version control systems (Perforce, Git). 
• Experience using automation tools or scripting. 
• Understanding of performance testing, profiling, or memory analysis. 
• Experience building or improving QA pipelines, tools, or dashboards. 

Exigences de base :

• Expérience confirmée en assurance qualité de jeux vidéo, dont généralement plus de 3 ans dans un rôle senior ou de leadership.
• Solide expérience en test d’applications mobiles natives (iOS et Android).
• Connaissance des exigences de certification mobile et des tests spécifiques aux plateformes.

Compétences et expérience :

• Expérience significative en tests QA, analyse QA ou rôles QA intégrés dans le développement de jeux.
• Bonne compréhension des flux de travail et outils de développement de jeux (Unity, Unreal ou moteurs propriétaires).

• Excellentes compétences en communication et aisance à travailler avec des équipes multidisciplinaires.

• Capacité à gérer les priorités de test dans un environnement rapide et dynamique.
• Participation à la livraison d’au moins un jeu ou d’un ensemble majeur de fonctionnalités.
