Job Description

As a QA Lead in the mobile unit, you will be responsible for supporting iOS and Android platforms for our Untitled AAA project. You will be executing the quality assurance strategy, managing a QA team, and ensuring that testing efforts align with project goals. You’ll guide testers, collaborate with developers and production, and maintain high standards for stability, functionality, and player experience.  

  • Lead, mentor, and support QA testers, helping them grow their skills and effectiveness. 
  • Assign testing tasks, manage workloads, and ensure coverage across features and milestones. 
  • Review bug reports, test cases, and documentation to maintain clarity and consistency. 
  • Foster a culture of quality, communication, and continuous improvement. 
  • Define & maintain QA processes, standards, and best practices across the project. 
  • Create and oversee test plans, test cases, and risk assessments for major systems and features. 
  • Partner with production to estimate QA scope, plan resources, and track quality‑related risks. 
  • Support integration testing when new systems or content are merged. 
  • Use debugging tools, logs, and engine features to investigate issues at a deeper technical level. 
  • Work closely with designers, engineers, and producers to understand feature goals and technical constraints. 
  • Participate in sprint planning, stand‑ups, and feature reviews to stay aligned with development progress. 
  • Communicate blockers, risks, and quality concerns clearly and proactively to stakeholders. 
  • Help maintain build stability through smoke tests, validation checks, and proactive issue identification. 
  • Contribute to improving QA tools, dashboards, and workflows to increase efficiency and consistency. 

 

RESPONSABILITÉS

En tant que Chef QA au sein de l’unitĂ© mobile, vous serez responsable du support des plateformes iOS et Android pour notre projet AAA non annoncĂ©. Vous exĂ©cuterez la stratĂ©gie d’assurance qualitĂ©, gĂ©rerez une Ă©quipe QA et veillerez Ă  ce que les efforts de test soient alignĂ©s avec les objectifs du projet. Vous guiderez les testeurs, collaborerez avec les Ă©quipes de dĂ©veloppement et de production, et maintiendrez des standards Ă©levĂ©s en matiĂšre de stabilitĂ©, de fonctionnalitĂ©s et d’expĂ©rience joueur.

  • Diriger, encadrer et soutenir les testeurs QA afin de dĂ©velopper leurs compĂ©tences et leur efficacitĂ©.
  • Attribuer les tĂąches de test, gĂ©rer la charge de travail et assurer une couverture adĂ©quate des fonctionnalitĂ©s et des jalons.
  • RĂ©viser les rapports de bogues, les cas de test et la documentation pour assurer clartĂ© et cohĂ©rence.
  • Favoriser une culture axĂ©e sur la qualitĂ©, la communication et l’amĂ©lioration continue.
  • DĂ©finir et maintenir les processus QA, standards et meilleures pratiques sur l’ensemble du projet.
  • CrĂ©er et superviser les plans de test, cas de test et analyses de risques pour les systĂšmes et fonctionnalitĂ©s majeurs.
  • Collaborer avec la production pour estimer l’ampleur du QA, planifier les ressources et suivre les risques liĂ©s Ă  la qualitĂ©.
  • Soutenir les tests d’intĂ©gration lors de l’ajout de nouveaux systĂšmes ou contenus.
  • Utiliser des outils de dĂ©bogage, journaux et fonctionnalitĂ©s du moteur pour investiguer les problĂšmes Ă  un niveau technique approfondi.
  • Travailler Ă©troitement avec les designers, ingĂ©nieurs et producteurs pour comprendre les objectifs des fonctionnalitĂ©s et les contraintes techniques.
  • Participer aux planifications de sprint, rencontres quotidiennes et revues de fonctionnalitĂ©s afin de rester alignĂ© avec l’avancement du dĂ©veloppement.
  • Communiquer de maniĂšre proactive et claire les blocages, risques et enjeux de qualitĂ© aux parties prenantes.
  • Contribuer au maintien de la stabilitĂ© des builds via des tests de fumĂ©e, validations et identification proactive des problĂšmes.
  • Participer Ă  l’amĂ©lioration des outils, tableaux de bord et flux de travail QA afin d’augmenter l’efficacitĂ© et la cohĂ©rence.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:  

  • Proven experience in video game QA, often with 3+ years in a senior or lead role. 
  • Strong experience testing native mobile applications (iOS & Android) 
  • Knowledge of mobile certification requirements & platform‑specific testing. 
  • Significant experience in QA testing, QA analysis, or embedded QA roles within game development. 
  • Strong understanding of game development workflows and tools (Unity, Unreal, or proprietary engines). 
  • Proficiency with bug‑tracking systems (Jira, DevTrack, Hansoft, etc.). 
  • Ability to write and review clear, concise, and technically detailed bug reports. 
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort working with cross‑disciplinary teams. 
  • Proven leadership or mentorship experience within QA. 
  • Ability to manage testing priorities in a fast‑paced environment. 
  • Experience contributing to at least one shipped game or major feature set. 

Desired Characteristics:  

  • Familiarity with version control systems (Perforce, Git). 
  • Experience using automation tools or scripting. 
  • Understanding of performance testing, profiling, or memory analysis. 
  • Experience building or improving QA pipelines, tools, or dashboards. 

Exigences de base :

  • Excellentes compĂ©tences en communication et aisance Ă  travailler avec des Ă©quipes multidisciplinaires.
  • ExpĂ©rience avĂ©rĂ©e en leadership ou mentorat en QA.
  • CapacitĂ© Ă  gĂ©rer les prioritĂ©s de test dans un environnement rapide et dynamique.
  • Participation Ă  la livraison d’au moins un jeu ou d’un ensemble majeur de fonctionnalitĂ©s.
