QA Lead (OVA5676)

Location: South Africa (Within SA only - non-negotiable)

Work Model: Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote)

Contract duration: 12 – months

Minimum Requirements

• Location Constraints: Must reside and be legally entitled to work within South Africa.
• Frameworks & Methodologies: Proven experience leading technical test implementation strategies across the entire Product Lifecycle.
• Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to align cross-functional disciplines including Business Analysis, Development, QA, and Environment teams.
• Team Leadership: Strong track record of driving team effectiveness and fostering healthy team dynamics.

Technical Requirements

• Automation Focus: Front End and API automation experience.
• Toolsets: Proficiency with Selenium, Appium, Healenium, and RestAssured.
• Non-Functional Testing (NFT): Performance testing experience using JMeter.
• Asset Management: Ability to inspect, analyse, design, develop, and implement highly reusable automated test assets that validate complex solution architectures.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead Test Implementation: Oversee the execution of testing strategies in strict accordance with agreed corporate Quality Assurance principles and standards.
• Risk Mitigation: Actively manage product risks and technical inter-dependencies across the product delivery stack.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: Optimize testing efficiencies by bridging technical communication gaps between Analysts, Developers, QA, and Infrastructure/Environment teams.
• Develop Automation Assets: Code and maintain scalable, reusable automation test assets utilizing the enterprise automation framework to protect architectural stability.
• Cultivate Team Dynamics: Manage, mentor, and guide team members to ensure operational effectiveness and a collaborative culture.
