As a Quality Assurance Manager – Data Center at Black Box, you will be the on-site champion of quality excellence for one of the most ambitious hyperscale data center programs in the country. You’ll lead the implementation, training, and continuous improvement of the Black Box Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring every phase of construction meets the highest standards of safety, compliance, and performance. Â

What You Will Do Â
Quality Leadership & Oversight Â
Serve as the site’s primary authority for executing all quality program elements across the full project lifecycle. Â
Monitor and audit field operations to ensure alignment with industry codes, customer requirements, and internal QMS standards. Â
Lead corrective action processes, issue and close nonconformance reports, and verify remediation through follow-up audits. Â
Develop and execute the QA tactical plan to foster a proactive, quality first culture. Â
QMS Development, Deployment & Training Â
Develop, update, and implement the Black Box Quality Management System (QMS) for hyperscale environments. Â
Train and coach QA Specialists, coordinators, technicians, and operational staff on quality standards, installation best practices, and testing methodologies. Â
Partner with subject matter experts to create or refine installation standards and technical documentation. Â
Cross-Functional Collaboration Â
Partner with client teams, general contractors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to align quality strategies and integrate expectations across all programs. Â
Represent Black Box in quality-focused meetings with subcontractors and client QC teams. Â
Coordinate and schedule quality inspections based on production timelines and risk assessments. Â
Data Analytics & Quality Reporting Â
Gather, analyze, and interpret quality performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Â
Provide clear, timely reporting to leadership and stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making. Â
Ensure that all technical submittals, quality documentation, and project deliverables are accurate and approved. Â
Safety & Compliance Â
Model and enforce safe work practices in alignment with Black Box and client safety programs. Â
Evaluate quality-related activities to ensure compliance with TIA, NEC, BICSI, and hyperscale installation standards. Â
Support technicians with training in fiber/copper dressing, cleaning, splicing, and testing. Â

Needs for Success Â
Â
Proven experience in infrastructure or data center deployment. Â
Hands-on knowledge of QC implementation and testing methodologies for fiber and copper systems. Â
Strong understanding of construction QA processes, documentation tools, and installation standards. Â
Experience conducting root-cause analysis, preparing detailed reports, and executing corrective actions. Â
Ability to train teams in quality practices, installation standards, and testing procedures. Â
Professionalism and strong communication skills across all levels, from field technicians to executive leadership. Â
High adaptability, sound judgment, and the ability to perform under pressure. Â
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Procore, Autodesk, and related construction/QC platforms. Â

What You Bring to the Table Â
Â
Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). Â
5+ years in construction quality management, preferably in data centers or large structured cabling projects. Â
Proven ability to lead and influence quality teams and field operations. Â
Experience developing and delivering training on installation and testing standards. Â
Preferred certifications:  Â
OSHA 30 (required within 6 months if not current) Â
ASQ certifications (CQT, CQM, CQE) Â
BICSI certifications (IN225, IN250, TE350, DCDC, RCDD) Â

Supervisory Responsibility Â

Direct oversight of a Quality Assurance Specialist (with department growth expected). Â

Work Environment & Physical Requirements Â
Â
This role involves both indoor and outdoor work within active construction environments. It may require standing, walking, climbing, lifting up to 25 lbs., and navigating elevated work platforms or confined spaces. Â
