We have partnered with Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group, Inc. and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation to establish a new company in preparation for the launch of a new digital bank.

We are currently seeking candidates for the position of QA Manager as part of this initiative.

About Us

We are a startup team partnering with Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation to establish a new digital bank. Our top priority is to build embedded financial products from scratch to support small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).

Our new digital bank project leverages the power of SaaS ✖️ Fintech to deliver accessible, cost-effective, and timely financial services. Our aim is to create transformative back-office operational experiences and innovative financial journeys, supporting the Digital Transformation of our clients.

Main Responsibilities

As a QA Manager, our goal is to shape the future of digital banking in Japan by developing products that are more user-friendly and easier to use than ever before.

• QA organization management, including recruitment and development (members across multiple locations: Japan and Vietnam)
• Formulation of test strategies (unit testing, integration testing, system testing, functional/non-functional requirements, including automation)
• Collection, measurement, analysis, and consideration of defect data for continuous quality improvement
• Standardization of development and testing processes

Unique Experience Gained

• Lead collaborative development, design reviews, and post-mortems with our international teams.
• Define quality governance specific to the banking domain, including formalizing release criteria, severity definitions (Sev1-3), traceability requirements, and audit readiness protocols.

Team and Work Style

• A joint project team of SMBC ✖️ Money Forward, operating as a small, high-performing team with rapid decision-making.
• A global development environment with significant opportunities for English communication, as we engage in joint development with international teams.

Required Skills and Experience

• Over 3 years of experience in QA management
• Experience managing a team of 5 or more members.
• Experience in formulating and executing test strategies with a focus on QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery)
• Bachelor's degree in information processing or computer science, or equivalent knowledge
• Holder of ISTQB or JSTQB Foundation Level certification, or equivalent knowledge; ISTQB Advanced Level is a plus.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• English: Business level
• A strong interest in communicating and collaborating within a global development setting
  • As development is conducted in collaboration with overseas locations, English will be used in professional contexts.
• Experience in AI development or using AI tools for development

Language Requirements

• Japanese: Business level (N2 or above)
