The EC First Party Development Department (ECFD) is Rakuten Group's development organization for its B-to-C services.

Rakuten Group's EC First Party Development Department (ECFD) has several B-to-C businesses that will drive Rakuten business.

The following services are currently operated by ECFD:

- Rakuten Fashion

- Rakuten 24, Rakuten 24 Express

- Rakuten Mart, Rakuten Zenkoku Super
- Rakuten Bic

In the development of ECFD, we keep our eyes on both the services and the business, and we propose, develop, and verify the effectiveness of services and systems through user experience to operational management.

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic QA Manager to lead the growth of our QA Team and drive QA activities for strategic initiatives, including the reform of our 1st Party Platform and Business. We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic QA Manager to build a robust quality assurance organization that ensures the reliability and scalability of our services.

Position Details

As a QA Manager, you will be responsible for:

- QA Group Vision & Strategy: Planning and executing the overall QA group vision and strategy

- Process Improvement: Leading improvements in test management processes and productivity

- Multi-Project Management: Overseeing test progress and quality status across multiple projects simultaneously

- Review & Approval: Reviewing and approving test plans, test bases, test specifications, test cases, and test scripts

- Off-site/On-site Strategy: Developing and managing off-site and on-site QA strategies

- Recruitment & Resource Management: Defining and executing recruitment and resource strategies

- Training & Evaluation: Training and evaluating QA Leads, Test Designers, and Automation Engineers

- Budget Management: Preparing and managing the QA team budget

- Enhancing & Expanding Automation testing

Mandatory Qualifications:

- 6+ years of experience in system test management, including both manual and automation system test planning, test design, test implementation, and quality judgment

- 5+ years of experience leading multiple projects in parallel, either in QA or Development

- 3+ years of experience in line management, including organizational strategy, hiring, evaluation, team building, and budget management

- Ability to apply ISTQB Foundation and Advanced level knowledge

- Ability to apply systematized test management and quality control knowledge

Desired Qualifications:

- Experience in non-functional and security testing

- Knowledge and experience in the Internet Service Industry

- Background in software development

- Proactively involves others to solve problems and improve situations

- Curious mindset with a passion for continuous learning in a fast-moving environment

- Strong ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders and QA team members

- Willingness to tackle new challenges and drive improvements, not satisfied with the status quo

- A strong team player who promotes a collaborative culture within and outside the team
