QA Manager (Retail & Food Service)
Location: Greater LondonΒ
Working pattern: MondayβFriday | 8:00amβ5:00pm | Full site-based role
Salary: Β£50-52k (DOE)Β
We are looking for a QA Manager to ensure all food manufactured on site is safe, legal, and consistently meets required quality standards. This is a key technical role, supporting the delivery of the site Technical Strategy while driving a strong food safety culture across the factory.
You will take ownership of site food safety systems, quality assurance, and compliance, while leading the QA team and supporting continuous improvement across operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and maintaining site Food Safety Management Systems (HACCP, TACCP, CCPs, OPRPs), ensuring effective validation, verification, and review
- Ensuring all products released meet customer and specification requirements across retail, own label, and food service
- Managing QMS and CMS documentation, ensuring compliance with legal, audit, and industry standards
- Leading investigations into food safety, quality, and hygiene issues, with robust root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Overseeing traceability processes, including daily checks and audit readiness
- Supporting internal training programmes and developing QA team capability
- Monitoring KPIs and supporting performance improvement across site operations
- Driving food safety culture through data analysis, trend review, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Supporting NPD and change management, ensuring technical readiness and product compliance
- Assisting with external audits, customer visits, and regulatory inspections, ensuring full compliance and preparedness
- Supporting incident management, recalls, withdrawals, and crisis response when required
About you:
- Experience in a QA or Technical role within an FMCG or food manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety systems and technical compliance
- Confident in leading investigations, audits, and cross-functional collaboration
- Able to analyse data, identify risks, and drive corrective action
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Experience managing or developing teams is desirable
