Position Overview
Under the general supervision of the Plant Manager and QA Operations Director, provides leadership of approximately 30 team members at the Flavor manufacturing site (FMC), for the development, implementation, and administration of the Quality Control function to ensure product safety, integrity, and conformance with respect to customer, Divisional, Corporate and regulatory requirements. This position is a member of the McCormick FMC Plant Leadership Team and Divisional QA team leadership to formulate and execute a strategic quality plan for the business. Responsible for managing vendor quality programs that impact the facilities, as well as customer complaints through root cause analysis. Provide leadership to develop and implement food safety program, e.g., HACCP, GMPs, Pest Control, Recall, Food Allergen and Environmental Monitoring. As a member of the Plant Leadership Team, requires comprehensive understanding of the concepts and principles within their own functional area and requires knowledge of these elements in other relevant functional areas to participate in the resolution of issues that have an impact beyond the area or impact multiple areas.Β

A major component of McCormick & Co.βs growth strategy is in the Flavor Solutions space, for which the Flavor Manufacturing Center provides key manufacturing support of these products and customers. The Flavor Manufacturing Center site is a 120,000 sq. ft. facility with 27 manufacturing lines that operate on a 24x7 schedule, producing approximately 48 million lbs. annually that support Flavor Solutions, FAFH and some Consumer business units. This role has responsibility for the Quality programs at the Flavor Manufacturing Center site, and is instrumental in identifying, actioning and appropriately escalating Quality & Food Safety risks associated with the site. Accountability for the operations is shared among the PLT members. The job analyses complex information to make judgements and decisions. The job must resolve problems by applying technical experience and expertise to review precedents, identify potential solutions and select the best and most viable course of action. Risk Management: by providing leadership through risk, crisis, change and knowledge management to define, develop, implement, maintain and improve Quality Assurance and Food Safety performance that support both McCormick, our customerβs & regulatory requirements. The job has an impact on the business through responsibility for the quality and compliance of products reaching customer/consumers. The job also has an impact on the business through joint influence over and responsibility for planning of resources and finance (shared with Plant Leadership Team). Decisions led by this manager can materially impact quality reputation, cost, inventory positions (cash flow) and customer service. Directly impacts the work and performance of quality and production/operations teams. Performance will also directly impact the overall performance and effectiveness of the plant, division, and Company. There is a high degree of interactions with customers, making sound decisions and defining/setting strategies.

Base Salary: $121,900 - $219,410
Β
Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormickβs Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan.
