OVERVIEW

The Quality Assurance Test Lead will plan and oversee all Software development quality assurance activities including integration testing, system testing, regression testing, performance testing and acceptance testing. This individual will work closely with Business Analyst(s), Software Developer(s) and Project Manager(s) to define, document and test all business and technical requirements necessary to satisfy product owner's needs. They will also work with the software development team and project management to help manage scope of sprints and releases. The Quality Assurance Test Lead will manage project risk to ensure all deliverables are delivered with consistently high quality with minimum defects.β€―

DUTIES

  • Lead the Software Development QA Team

  • Review and analyze system specifications

  • Develop effective strategies and test plans

  • Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results

  • Evaluate product code according to specifications

  • Create logs to document testing phases and defects

  • Report bugs and errors to development teams

  • Help troubleshoot issues

  • Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing

  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle

  • Ensure compliance with all federal accessibility standards and guidelines

  • Identify and manage project risks

  • Provide documentation in the form of Test Management Plans, Test Cases and Test Reports throughout the complete software development lifecycle

  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 5 years of experience in quality assurance and application testing

  • Working knowledge of at least one Section 508 compliance tools (JAWS preferably)

  • Experience testing Mobile Apps

  • Experience using JIRA Defect Management Tool

  • Demonstrated experience in creating and executing test scripts, and communicating results to management

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Highly organized and detail oriented

  • Flexible, versatile, and works well under pressure

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related IT field of equivalent experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience performing backend database testing

  • Experience using automated test tools (Selenium, JMeter, Python Testing Frameworks) is a plus

  • Experience with Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI)

  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize

  • Experience in software development

Salary Range: $115,000/year to $130,000/year
