SAP Test Manager

Envision Employment Solutions is currently looking for a SAP Test Manager for one of our partners, a global leader in consulting, digital transformation, technology, and engineering services.

Job Summary:

The SAP S/4 HANA Test Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire testing process for an SAP S/4 HANA implementation project, including planning, designing, executing, and managing test cases to ensure the system meets functional requirements and quality standards, collaborating closely with project stakeholders to deliver a successful deployment; requiring strong expertise in SAP testing methodologies, test automation tools, and project management practices.

This position requires flexibility to work on US times and flexibility to travel abroad when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Test Approach Development and Planning:
• Define comprehensive test approach / plans aligned with project objectives, considering different testing types (functional, regression, performance, usability).
• Create detailed test plans outlining scope, timelines, and resource allocation.

• Test Case Design and Execution:
• Lead the development of robust test cases covering all functional areas of SAP S/4 HANA processes.
• Manage test case prioritization and execution across different test environments and applications in collaboration with Solution teams.
• Monitor test execution progress and identify potential risks.

• Test Automation:
• Promote and implement test automation frameworks to streamline regression testing and improve efficiency.

• Defect Management:
• Establish a robust defect tracking process to effectively manage identified issues.
• Collaborate with development teams to prioritize and resolve defects promptly.

• Team Leadership and Coordination:
• Lead and mentor a team of test analysts, assigning tasks and ensuring quality standards are met.
• Facilitate communication between testing team, project stakeholders, and business users.

• Reporting and Analysis:
• Generate comprehensive test reports highlighting key metrics like test coverage, defect trends, and overall system quality.
• Proactively identify areas for improvement and propose solutions to enhance testing effectiveness.

• Technical Expertise:
• Reasonable understanding of SAP S/4 HANA modules and functionalities
• Expertise in SAP testing tools and Proficiency in test automation frameworks (we are using UFT)

• Testing Methodologies:
• Thorough knowledge of various testing types (functional, regression, integration, performance, user acceptance)

• Project Management:
• Strong project management skills to plan, execute, and monitor testing activities within project timelines
• Ability to manage test resources effectively

• Communication and Collaboration:
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills (stakeholders primarily being - Finance/Procurement teams globally + SAP solution teams )
