SAP Test Manager

I. PURPOSE OF THE JOB

As SAP Test Manager at Bekaert, you will help the team to test software, integrated systems, to ensure that our systems and projects are working as designed. You will mentor and coach other QA engineers and engineering team members in quality assurance practices, skills, and tools!
The SAP QA Test Manager is responsible for end-to-end QA and testing delivery on an SAP Implementation project. This position owns:
•    Quality Assurance including Testing Methodology, Processes, Procedures, Best Practices, Standards and Governance
•    Test planning.
•    Test design.
•    Test execution implementing SAP Activate methodology to ensure quality of delivery.
•    Test Automation 

II. ROLE DESCRIPTION

As SAP Test Manager, you help different teams and tracks in leading QA Testing domain for IT and Digital implementations and be a leader and crucial member in the delivery teams.
 
Your Impact
•    Implement standard processes demonstrating “Activate” methodology used by SAP in similar projects consistently and efficiently to implement SAP S/4Hana
•    Define Testing Methodology, Processes, Procedures, Business Engagement, Best Practices and Standards for Testing capability at Bekaert. 
•    Establish Test strategy, Test Scope, and Test planning for various projects building clarity and transparency on end-to-end testing and quality objectives and approach for the project.
•    Efficient operation and continuous improvement of testing processes and practices
•    Identify Testing Regression Suite based on business criticality and sensitivity of testing scenarios. Establish selective scenarios for smoke testing of any change / release in the project. 
•    Good knowledge and experience with testing tools such as TOSCA Tricentis.
•    Perform test automation of high and medium priority and business critical scenarios. Ensure automation suite is updated regularly based on system changes.
•    Efficiently leverage and execute test automation suite to identify issues early in development lifecycle.
•    Build and maintain testing libraries to ensure libraries are kept up to date
•    Involvement in full SDLC to identify QA needs, constraints, and dependencies early on.
•    Define end-to-end defect lifecycle management and associated process for testing across different phases / environments. Ensure collaboration and governance model for defect resolution and retest with IT / Business Stakeholders.
•    Define Quality Gating criteria for testing across different phases and ensure appropriate review is conducted of the same during Go/No-Go reviews. 
•    This role requires SAP S/4 HANA testing hands-on and team management experience.
•    Solid understanding of agile methodologies and capability of supporting agile teams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities, impact, and risks, taking account of technical and architectural debt
•    Be able to collaborate with various cross functional teams, internal/external technical experts, Architects, other Technical Leads, Systems Analysts, and 3rd parties to drive technical solutions.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

•    8+ years of relevant software development quality assurance experience including Testing Methodology, Processes, Procedures, Best Practices, Standards and Governance
•    Subject Matter Expertise in establishing test plans, writing manual test case, test execution and test automation in S4 HANA SAP implementation projects
•    At least 6+ years of SAP Testing experience across workstreams and minimum 4+ years of Test lead experience in ERP S/4 HANA implementation projects efficiently
•    Highly Proficient in standard SAP processes w.r.t understanding the requirement documentations, process flows, RICEFWs
•    Build kick-off decks, plans- Build Test cases (e.g. OTC, PTP, RTR) working with Functional leads and Test Closure reports. Develop test plans, test cases, traceability and test scripts based on functional and technical specifications to ensure the quality and reliability of SAP modules.
•    Lead and guide the testing team in planning, executing, and leading comprehensive testing strategies for SAP implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.
•    Work with other SAP/non-SAP application teams during Integration testing cycles into the final solution to accommodate activities needed for the successful delivery of the S/4 Hana
•    Coordinate and plan UAT phase by engaging business partners and SMEs during UAT preparation and execution.
•    Lead test data creation, maintenance, and validation to simulate real-world scenarios and accurately assess system performance.
•    Coordinate defect triage activities for sprints and SIT/UAT cycles with respective teams. Create and produce Test status reports for design, execution, and defects daily.
•    Conduct risk assessments and prioritize testing efforts to mitigate the risks which helps in testing all Business Processes and functionalities are thoroughly validated. Foresee any issue and call out to Project stakeholders in a timely manner.
•    Extensive experience in leading QA (and UAT) in fast paced S/4 implementations
•    Very strong written and verbal communication with active listening skills and the ability to tightly collaborate with a wide variety of technical and non-technical personnel via various communication channels.
•    Independent problem-solving/analytical skills with good hands-on and participate in any phase of testing (test design/execution) when situation arises.
•    Self-motivated and proactive individual who works well independently or as part of a team.
•    Familiar with Agile methodology and Sprint ceremonies.
•    Participate and lead Sprint Testing as needed for PROD application support and plan the Sprint regression as needed.
