Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Who You Are:  

As a Test Automation Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing , and maintaining robust test automation frameworks for patient scheduling, registration, and payment collection. You will work closely with developers, product owners , and cross-functional teams to deliver secure, resilient, and high-performing solutions that power physician practices to be more efficient. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to automation strategy and quality engineering efforts within a fast-paced, agile environment.  
  
 

What You’ll Do:  

  • Design, develop, and implement scalable, reusable, and reliable automation frameworks for UI and API testing.  

  • Collaborate with software engineers to ensure test coverage for new features and bug fixes.  

  • Perform code reviews and provide feedback on testability and automation readiness.  

  • Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing practices.  

  • Maintain and enhance existing automation infrastructure to support evolving product requirements.  

  • Analyze test results, triage issues , and work with the development team to ensure timely resolution.  

  • Contribute to test strategy, documentation, and reporting of automation metrics and test coverage.  


What You’ll Bring: 

  • 5+ years of experience as an SDET, Software Engineer, or QA Automation Engineer in a fast-paced Agile environment. 

  • Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or C# (bonus for multi-language proficiency). 

  • Hands-on experience building automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Appium. 

  • Proven experience with API testing (Postman, REST Assured, or similar). 

  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps). 

  • Familiarity with unit, integration, regression, and performance testing methodologies. 

  • Experience working with cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP). 

  • Strong debugging and analytical skills with a shift-left mindset toward quality. 

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills — able to partner cross-functionally with developers, DevOps, product managers, and QA teams. 

  • In-depth knowledge of information systems and the ability to identify, apply, and implement best practices  

  • Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function  

  • Ability to plan and manage projects and solve complex problems by applying best practices  

  • Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates. Ability to interpret and convey complex, difficult, or sensitive information  

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/ or equivalent work experience. 

Preferred: 

  • Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling, K6)  

  • Exposure to cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure)  

  • Working knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
